Will Corona cause Note 20 late release?

My wife has a note 9.
I'd like to upgrade her to the note 20 with 5G for a early Christmas present, birthday present.
She loves her note she has.
She will not want to spend the money.
And she don't like change.

She likes the FPS in the center on the back too.
She might put up a fight.

I've come to a time when I just think going to stick with what I have now ...flipping between 10+ and 4XL I realize I have everything I need and maybe it's time to stop upgrading so often ...just my current mode though

I'm saying that right now as well. My Note 10+ and iPhone XS Max are in good working order. Of course, as soon as I see a shiny new Note or iPhone my views may change. LOL

I hear you. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, as the saying goes.

Similar features to the S20 Ultra with better camera and the Spen. If the sales are going to be that bad almost don't want it released in Aug because if the sales are downright terrible it might cause them to just kill the Note line.
If anything it would probably make more sense to kill the big slab (S10+, S20 Ultra) and just have an S10e type entry level flagship, then a regular S10 sized one, and thats it for the S line.
For those who want a giant screen, that's when the Note comes in

That would work except for those that want a big screen and no stylus.

Haha no kidding ..I wasn't even counting my Max Pro lmao

Or in our cases trade it in for a new phone hehe

I think if the Note is left too late in the year people won't want to buy it because the new Snapdragon will be released a few weeks later. They won't want to pay top dollar for an 'outdated' processor. It is one of the biggest complaints about the Pixel line, amongst other complaints. I can see it being either released in August/September as expected or not released at all. Kept till the next year and fitted with the new processor. Unless they drop the price to entice sales.

Am I the only one who would like for the next Note phone to be radically different?

Because I don't see much change from N10 to N20, much less N20 to N30...

No you aren't but when was the last time you saw big differences years to year in any device?

I found the Note 10 plus quite different from the Note 8 & 9 actually, the screen and form factor of the 10+ makes it way nicer than anything else

As far as the Note series is concerned, from the Note 4 to the 5 was a pretty big one, and NOT in a good way imo because the premium feeling faux leather back was replaced by glass, and the flat edges and flat screen were replaced by curved ones. Big ergonomic sacrifice in the name of "wow" factor.

This was the beginning of the end of function over form.

Also, from 7 to the 8 because the color matching front bezel with the physical home button was dropped in favor of less bezels and on-screen controls.

Most will see this as a good thing but I actually liked the matching front bezel, because buying something like the Coral Blue would actually make sense and you would enjoy it while using the phone, not just when placing it upside down.
Also, the physical home button was satisfying.

That's my point, there have been no dramatic changes or improvements in the last few years. Everything is incremental and not always perceived as an improvement.

I really don't know how much farther they can push the bezel-less glass slab form factor further than it already is, aside from incorporating an in-display front camera.

But then what?

Well, then, I'd say it's time to think outside the b̶o̶x̶ slab!

Modular phone...slider phone...

Foldable is cool but they'll have a different line of product for those (Z Flip and Fold)

Modular has been done and it's going nowhere. Slider I don't know what say.
Folding is a novelty but too many issues. The only thing they can do at this point is bump up the specs and improve the software until the next ground breaking "thing" comes of age.
