Will Corona cause Note 20 late release?

Yea, I dunno what the price will be. But the Trump checks might be rolling out within the next couple months and members here will be ready to fork it over including me!

If the economy really gets wrecked over the next few months and such I do really think they could possibly skip it this year. Not nix it just skip it due to just too much stuff going on. Sales would super tank if people can't spend $1400 on a device. It would be a waste of money on Samsung's part to produce and develop it and horrible sales. So yea, I guess I'd bow down and buy an S20 Ultra when it gets cheaper.

Or they could release it later in the fall around the iPhone 11s release as well to compete with that more. That is a more likely outcome I think, release it in Oct.

If the economy is tanked I would consider releasing it the following year the same time as the S line and just do once a year.

Yeah we see how it plays out in next month or 2 .

I agree. You can only be bombarded with so much news. This just in, its really bad, and it will have a ripple effect for a long time. At this point we all know what to do to try and protect yourself. I like to read forums, watch tv (other than the news), listen to music, to escape from it.

With that being said. I would say yes. The price is expected to be high. Even if the virus is under control by normal release time, the world economy will be in shambles. Unless they pull features and make it cheaper, I just don't see what releasing it in August will do.

I agree with you. Sometimes, you just have to escape. And AC and phones are great ways to do do.

I'm hoping that everything will be okay and work out. Trying to stay positive is another coping mechanism I have... And looking at new phone pictures posted online by AC users.

I agree. With everything keep getting pushed back and probably not until May sometime when things start to open up, I just don't see it being released on time.

Of course the main thing is money. With this dragging on and more and more out of work it won't really matter because they sales would be terrible when most have less money. The $1200 doesn't make up for the thousands I'm losing in sales with my business at the fleamarket being closed up for example.

That being said it's certainly possible to release the Note 20 around Thanksgiving or when the new iPhone comes out. That certainly is possible. However if it's not until summer things get back to normal I really think they just skip the Note 20 and next year just maybe will be the year they combine the Note line into the S line and just have it all come out at once.

I might just buy the S20 Ulta if this is the case then. And I will then buy a Tab s6 as well for the spen.

The Tab S6 is actually something I might look at now that I have ruled out the Ultra anyway, never had a tablet except for using my Asus C434 chromebook in tablet mode every now and again.

With no timeline for how long this will go on for, it's hard to predict whether new smartphones will come out or not. It's hard to really predict anything, at this point.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see - and if anyone finds out rumours, leaks, or pictures, to post them here immediately!

iPhone is safe because it comes out later. Plus Apple needs a yearly flagship. It's the Note that could be pushed back a couple months like Oct like it used to be or just scrapped and released maybe with the S21.

I don't think by late Aug the economy will be recovered enough where people will flock to buy the Note 20. Well, except us on here lol. Almsot be dumb of them to waste money making it right now and releasing it in Aug when sales will be bad.

Similar features to the S20 Ultra with better camera and the Spen. If the sales are going to be that bad almost don't want it released in Aug because if the sales are downright terrible it might cause them to just kill the Note line.
