Will factory reset affect my Sd Card?

Hi everyone, new here and have a question about doing a factory reset on my phone. I did some searches before I joined but could not find an exact answer.

I have a Galaxy S7 Active running Android 7.0 . About a month ago I purchased a Sandisk 32gb micro SD card and installed it. I would like to reset my phone, but I want to make sure the reset does not harm the SD card before I do so. Is there anything I need to do to the SD card or any precautions I should take before I do the Reset? Will it damage the card?

Any info would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You could remove the card, but a factory reset doesn't do anything to the card. (And since Samsung doesn't use adoptable storage, that wouldn't apply here. On a phone that does, since the card is logically part of internal storage, you have to leave it in when you do a factory reset - and the card will be reset. If you take it out, reset, then put the card back in, you'll have to reformat it, and you'll lose everything on it anyway.)

Thank you both for the response. I guess I'll go ahead and leave the card in and reset my phone. Thanks again!!!
