Will indian version of Moto G5 Plus work in USA?

I want to buy new Moto G5 Plus XT 1686 (Indian Verison). It supports UMTS: 850, 900, 2100 MHz; 4G LTE (B1, B3, B5, B8, B40) frequency bands. I am planning to move to United States for a couple of years for my studies and wanted to know if this phone will work with major carrier brands in US like Verizon, At&t, Sprint, etc.? Will unlocking the phone help?

Verizon and Sprint, no. TMO & AT&T it might, but not everywhere and not necessarily well.
