Will It's Sales Suffer For The Same Reason The S9's Sales Have?

For T-mobile, their updated JOD will kill sales of the Note9. If the iPhone X is any indication, the Note9 will be like $220-230 down. No thanks. For some reason, they want to stick to the $30 per month threshold.
Putting down over 20% the price of the phone contradicts why JOD was created.
They seem to have no creativity when it comes to payments for their customers. I have plenty of ideas. It's not rocket science. Just don't insult our intelligence and tell us you're listening to your customers.

I did a big down payment on Jump on my Note 8. No biggy. I had the Note 5 and it was time for an upgrade. But the are some who won't do that when they can walk out with a no down payment cheaper phone.

I'll probably get the Note 9. I'm scared what the price will be for the Note 10/X.

IF Huawei could become mainstream in North America and there was ample case selection for their phones, I would jump all over the Porsche Edition which already has under the screen fingerprint scanner.

I read somewhere in the past few days that the Note 9 should be close to the same price as the Note 8 was at launch. Whether this is true or not we'll wait and see next month.

Many phones launched at quite a close price to its predecessor in USA but outside USA, the price jump can be quite significant. In my country, From Note 7 -> S8+ -> Note 8 -> S9+ all had significant increase with each phone. Really scary
