Will my SMS messages get deleted if i do a factory reset?

[AC Question]

Pretty much what the title says, my moto g (2014) have been really laggy and i thought i'll reset the thing. But i'm still a bit nervous whether it'll keep my sms messages or not,

any help from the community would be VERY appreciated.
