will Samsung repair broken digitizer and screen. rooted tablet?

I am thinking about paying the $200 fee to fix my tab s 10.5. Will Samsung repair the screen if the warranty is void due to rooting? I managed to flash the stock ROM via Odin, so I believe root should be gone, but the flash counter might still be visible by Samsung

Welcome to the forums. Technically, it shouldn't matter if you were rooted or not since they are doing a hardware fix, not a software one.

Just send it in to them for repair. Worst case they make you pay.

I am actually not on warranty and they are asking for about $200 (they do not know i am rooted). I did managed to flash both the stock rom and recovery through Odin

And one more thing. If more than just the screen is damaged, will they ask for extra payment or just send it back? I cant really tell how much is damaged because the screen wont turn on, but charging sounds and vibrations are good.

Being rooted doesn't matter your paying for screen repair not using warranty. The $199 covers screen and digitizer replacement once that's done they do a checklist of test to make sure it works properly, if it doesn't they will calculate repair cost and call you. Most likely the screen replacement will suffice.
