? Will switching bulid prop change anything

So i switched to a optimus s rom but hands free activation keeps popping up and if i change the build.prop will it stop it from doing that and will it keep my 3g.

nope, you should open up build.prop and take a look at what's in it. It's actually very interesting, but unfortunately it wont fix the optimus s issue with the hands free activation popping up

If i change the build prop with the virginmobile one will it fix my 3g?

Figure out which app is causing the hands free activation and either remove it from the zip or replace it with the proper app from the stock rom. The apps in the zip are located here: /system/app/

I was reading through the S forums a while back about this issue and I don't think it's an app that is causing the problem. Off the top of my head, it dealt with how the phone registered to the sprint network when first powered on. It's off the wall, but it had something to deal with something "other" than what it sounds like. Sorry if i'm a bit vague, it was a while back.

Well, "something" in the rom has to be running the hands free activation. That something needs to be nuked.
