Will T-Mobile Nexus 6 ever get 6.0?

Day 47 since Google started 6.0 ota rollout. So no sign of update on my tmo phone.

If this is a quick update then I can't imagine what hell none nexus folk go through.

At this point if you still want an update then just flash image. If not then just go with another phone that has the update.

Why is Google still even updating that buggy mess that was Lollipop. Lollipop was a disaster. They should be getting as many devices on Marshmallow. This is one thing I really missed from Apple, easy updates on day one. Don't tell me that they are buggy at least they fix it quickly. If Google pushes a rotten update (like 4.4.2 and 5.0) it can take months just to get a update.

It's an open source OS, so it's appropriate that they continue to maintain it - particularly in regards to security concerns. As to Google's ability to get as many devices on 6.0 as possible, they're doing pretty much all they can, directly; it's the responsibility of the phone manufacturers and carriers who skin the OS to develop and publish updates for their phones.

If they were to only address further updates to Marshmallow users, at this point they'd be addressing only about 1 in 3300 devices.

Yeah sadly the Nexus 6 updates are wonky due to the carriers stepping in for a few things. I would bet the 6P and 5X will be a lot cleaner. Such as within the first few days of November I got my security update on my 6P no problem.

As I've now explained not once, not twice but thrice, T-Mobile nexus 6 will never get android 6.0 OTA.

Stop pining after something you cannot ever have and accept your doom.😉

As I've now explained not once, not twice but thrice, T-Mobile nexus 6 will Update to marshmallow OTA if you remove your SIM, reset and keep on wifi for a few minutes.

saw over on G+ that Marshmallow has issues with Fi switching signal between T-M and S.
That seems to be the holdup for Project Fi.
I'm running it on Fi and noticed it doesn't switch. Just T-M/Wi-Fi all the time.
So don't know what the hold-up is for T-M unless it 's the band 12 issue.
Right now band 12 doesn't work for Marshmallow.
On any phone....with Marshmallow's final radio.
AFAIK

Wrong. Anyone with LYZ28N (the Nov security update) cannot do that. It worked with the October security version but anyone who didn't FDR by now has missed their chance and has now been abandoned to the chaotic ravages of this interminable OTA waiting process;)

Day 48 and counting since Android 6.0 OTA roll out began.

If this be true then Elron the Elder has single handily discovered the reason behind this abominably slow OTA roll out.

It is so logical that it must be true BUT then it bodes poorly for Nexus 6 OTA upgrade to 7.0 Nougat unless Google makes sure that version support band 12 from the get go.

How they could release a brand new "more refined" OS that doesn't support the all important band 12 (which allows T-Mobile to work indoors) is unthinkable and unforgivable.

Thanks Elron for allowing us to know who to focus our growing apocalyptic rage against!;)

.
Whoa!
All Marshmallow beta builds [except 1] had working band 12 radios.
Some have flashed the beta radios to their final *58? build.
Therefore it being disabled in final code was intentional.
Whatever reason doesn't matter T-M and GOOG have to work it out.
I'm sure they will.

It is T-Mobile not Google -- T-Mobile has to have them "Get Certified" in order to allow it on the network. It isn't like Google just shut it off for fun. :).

My impression is that Band 12 Iis working with Android 6 on T-mobile Nexus 6 (can anyone that sideloaded or flashed please verify?). From purusing various sites it looks liek the band 12 issues were resolved some time ago. Is that not true?

T-Mobile site says. Testing completed. Software version: Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Google Nexus 6. Not kidding go look for yourself.

What about a Google Nexus 6 with T-Mobile sim... I have lmy48x. No 6.0 yet

So since I am using a T-Mobile sim will I get a update with the rest of T-Mobile Nexus 6? I am on LMY48X. THIS Nexus is from Google. Just wondering how this works. Appreciate any advice.

Since the T-Mobile site states that testing for Marshmallow is now completed, hopefully OTA's will start to appear very soon.... as in this weekend

I was just doing my late night checking of t-mobile which I do every night and was pleasantly surprised that it said that. Hopefully start this weekend so good luck to everyone.

50 days after Google started rolling out ota t-mobile finally completes testing it and promises it will start rolling out "soon".

Given that t-mobile was 4 months late getting WiFi calling in not exactly holding my breath.
