Will the bootloop fiasco affect sales of the V30?

Don't forget 5 previous phones have had bootloops issues. They never addressed the problem. LG has lost many fans with trust issues. Happened on my G3, NEVER again LG!

The G3 didn't either did it?
I don't know for sure but I thought the systemic ones were G4 and V10. They were the original class action suit and then they sent out a silly survey about adding the G5 and V20. I took the survey and it was written in a way that steered people into indicating bootloop issues where issues didn't exist. It was a pathetic survey designed to add support to the class action.

My first experience with the boot loop problem was with the G3. Lg refuse to acknowledge that there was a problem. Then when I got the V10 I start experiencing the exact same problems. I'm on my 3rd V10 now. Thinking about the V30 but I'm leery about Lg now.

Using G6 since april zero issue..iam sure LG has fixed bootloop long back...G6 have zero reports and V30 wont be any different

I currently have a V20 and have no problems with the phone and have had it since it first came out last year. So the LG bootloop fiasco won't affect my decision to get a V30.

Re: Will the bootloop fiasco affect sales?

If Samsung can brush off the Note 7 battery fiasco last year and still attract huge hype for the Note 8 like it never happened then I'm sure LG can get past this. They don't have the marketing power of Samsung but if they can keep putting out good phones and the older phones like the V20 and G5 and the current G6 etc don't have any widespread issues that surely proves they are reliable again and give potential buyers trust
You cant compare LG to Samsung. Samsung has loyal customers and most of them loved their Note 7s explosion or no explosion . They couldn't wait to come back to Samsung. LG lacks any loyalty or true credibility against Samsung.

I think I see more forum users complaining about lack of solid release information then bootloop as a concern. What I do notice is that there seems to be activity about this here and in blogs, reviews etc. compared to the last few phones LG has put out starting with the G5. The G5 was mostly negative due to the silly Mod implementation. The V20 struggled partially because of that and the bootloop issues of the past. The G6 did better and drew a lot of attention but not as much as what I'm seeing with the V30.
Now if only they can push some out the door we might see some action.

For me, my main concern is how LG handle the bootloop issue. I recommended my friend to get a G4 because I am very satisfied with the device. Then, both of us got hit by the bootloop problem. I was lucky because my warranty is 1 month before expiration, but my friend wasn't that lucky (he got hit 2 weeks after his warranty). He had to pay in order to repair his phone.

Till now LG phones still impressed me, but losing all my data and not contactable by client made me step away. Most of the people do not know about the issue until it hit them.

My G4 bootlooped shortly after the warranty and they tried to get me to pay a fee to fix, but i was able to get them to do a one-time repair outside of warranty for free.
