Will the first gen Moto X get the features of the second gen Moto X?

I'm liking many of the upgrades to the Moto X (2014). Lots of them are software-based and might work fine with the OG X. Do you think we'll see some of these features in the future?

Well the one huge thing I wonder is will they be Google Play Store based updates or from the settings about phone software update?

I would say play store seeing as all the apps are already there

Yeah, that's what I was figuring as well. The new touchless control commands option would be nice though if you know what I mean.

It wouldn't surprise me if they had to do a system update to get the base right, then continue with Play Store updates.

As disappointing as it will be to have to wait this makes a lot of sense. These are core functions and many of them are tied to hardware. I'm no Android expert but it seems right.

Waiting until L is fine by me. I like the look of the new Moto X, but frankly, I like what I have. It's stable, snappy and sizes right for me. If I end up with all of the new software enhancements and I get to keep what I like, well, perfect by me.
