I like putting my apps/widgets where I want. No more apple for me. Best battery life ever I think! Still at 47% since unplugged at 7:30 am for a 20 minute charge

Why wouldn't they? It's certainly within Sony's technology to make a great display and camera. Or did you simply mean you doubt they'll bother?

Oh I'm sure both the display and camera will be great, or close to it. Just not on the level of the S6.

iPhone 6s won't offer much over the 6, given apples past update schedule, we won't see 7 until 2017. This is simply the best phone on the market today.

That's why I asked for clarification. HTC chose not to. There's a big difference between choosing not to and being unable to.

Going off of recent history, they didn't want to last year. And while they may have the resources, I'm not sure they know how to integrate it into mobile as well as Samsung does.

With a Iphone you are limited to what Apple lets you have. And you are limited to what you can watch.

Samsung is much more open like a regular computer. It has more apps that are free.
I like Samsungs operating system better. Like their screen pixils,
Does the Iphone 6 have 3 gb memory. and a a processor as fast.
Does the Iphone 6 have a camera as nice with 16 mp as the Samsung.

If you are a Iphone person there is no talking to you. You have the Iphone fever.
I've had 5 Iphones and I'm on my 2nd Samsung Galaxy.
Don't have no desire to go back to Apple.

I never succumbed to the forbidden fruit either but the i6 is still a decent device and is optimized to an extent that it can perform quite well despite its specs.

People are saying new samsung is the phone of the year. It got me thinking, I searched for artist of the year. Know what I found? It was one direction. That doesn't mean I am going to rush out and buy any of their stuff. Besides, I would likely get hearing aids if I listened to them. I would much rather rock out to Master of Puppets.

Just because there are plenty of voices raving about something, does not necessarily make the end all, be all. It's not always about being the best, or the most powerful. Ask the Red Sox fans about Bucky ******* Dent.

I don't even see that there's a question here. It simply is phone of the year. I annihilates the M9 and bests the ip6 in every regard.... including battery life. The soon-to-be releases G4 is a phablet and does not compete with the S6. Its natural competition is going to be the Note 5.

i think you're forgetting that the iphone 6 came out last year. this years iphone has yet to be released.

Having come from a RIM device a few years ago, my first Android device was the GS3. It was a great introduction and I have been a Samsung owner since then. Is the greatest device of all time and is it perfect? Absolutely not. Granted Samsung has lots of models and variants but they don't have a dominant market share for no reason and they aren't gods. Could they have done more? Sure. Your comments could apply to HTC and Apple fans as well who hop on this site, some with well reasoned comments while other post absolute rubbish. I passed on the GS5 because I was not convinced that it was worth the upgrade. An objective review of the facts would indicate that with a near redesign in less than a year Samsung did a great job. Did they hit the nail on the head on everything on every wishlist? Nope. They did however take a new direction which could hardly be said of say the M9.

Is it fair to say the LG G4 is a phablet? I ask because I don't know.
Do the dimensions of an LG G4 make it more comparable to the S6 or the N4?

I just did the phonearena size comparison, using my RMHD as the reference (the calibration and compare tool there is really cool).

Definitely a difference in sizes. Amazing what a difference a few millimeters here and a few there do. The LG G4 would be quite a jump, but certainly not as big a jump as going to the N4.

Apple hasn't won any phone of the year awards for a long time. At least not from reviewers I trust. Almost always an Android device.

One Plus Two

Problem picking one now is only one has been released and one other announced.

I don't count LG since there is literally no advantage buying over Samsung. Mostly they copy everything Samsung does, and their UI is more ugly than touchwiz.

Let's see LG has been using OIS since at least the G2, has laser focus, buttons on the back, knock code, first to use QHD. Yeah you are right, all they do is copy Samsung.

I wasn't really aware that anyone thought that the phone of the year was released in Q1. Has that ever happened? There will be 3-4 better devices this year, just like every year. Tech still evolves too fast for a Q1 device to reign for more than a few months, if it takes a crown at all. I'm not sure I would have ranked the S6 over the Note 4, the Nexus 6, etc.
