I really like some of the new software improvements in the note 5 especially the feature where you can take a screen shot of the whole Web page as one image. Do you think we'll get these features on our Note 4s?

Re: Note 5 software

I think the OP means the "scrolling" capture feature.

Would be nice to get all the new touchwiz features, but I doubt it. One can only hope!

Re: Note 5 software

My guess is there will be better parity in software features when Samsung's updates based upon Android M come out. Until then the shiny new toy gets to keep its exclusive software features over the old model. If I had to guess when that will be I'd say early 2016.

Regarding the scrolling capture feature. ..how many times does one need to send someone an entire page vs just a link to it? Cool feature no doubt but I just don't see myself needing it often at all...

Some features they come up with are neat, but I'd probably never use them. The scrolling capture is cool, but I'd probably never use it

Re: Note 5 software

I think the quick note on the black screen looks so cool, plus the auto eject pen is quite fancy indeed! That platinum colour option has me so envious

Re: Note 5 software

Sooner or later Note 5 whole rom will be ported to Note 4, S6 already is ported (glamour rom), seeing the lack of sd card, it's better to invest on a note 4 + s6 or note 5 port, the note 4 cpu and gpu are still good, stock kk note 4 rom is laggier than other roms.

Re: Note 5 software

Yes, but in 2017! My S4 only got the SOME of the S5's features, like S Finder, in its Lollipop update. Not surprising tho, as KK launched in late 2013, they started working on it then, S5 launched in March. They update majorly (is that a word?) once a year.

It's not just web pages muzzy - I can't tell you how many times I've screen captured a "Settings" page on the phone that scrolls down 2 or 3 pages and had to either make 2 or 3 separate images or "stitch" them together in Photoshop. This IS a great feature, to me - as is being able to write with the pen on a black "locked" screen and not have to unlock, etc. !!! I'm about ready to jump!
