Downside is, that's where supply and demand come in. No one buys USB C, they'll soon stop making them. Outside of the forums, I highly doubt many people know about USB C headphones, mainly because Bluetooth has become so prevalent.

I owned an iPhone X and iPhone XS Max for months so no, it won't be an issue. It just won't be ideal though. I prefer wired headphones to wireless headphones because it's one less thing to have to worry about charging.

Never used the headphone jack on my note 9.

I don't know what it is, but I just can't get into Bluetooth anything. Could be that it can drain my battery. Headphones, syncing my devices - I just don't like it. I only use it for my Fitbit and even that's pretty sporadic.

But you are right in saying that BT is the go-to wired accessory lineup for tech enthusiasts.

iPhone buds don't need an adapter but if you want something better then you do. I don't think Apple includes the adapter any longer.

Nope. Never used one! They can even keep the 14 cameras on the back, too, although I may be out voted on THAT one! Oh, sorry, 14 cameras doesn't come in until 2029, this year it's only 4!!!!

Come to think of it - I haven't seen my Pixel 2 dongle for a while... Hopefully it's in the pile of cords/chargers we have in a bowl...

Why would anyone leave a dongle hanging on a phone? That's like shirtcocking it. Especially if a case has a port flap, like all of mine. I get that some people don't care about a headphone jack, but some do and we tend to forget that.

No, I wouldn't. Why would I want another thing I need to remember to recharge. Wired headphones all the way. In fact, I just got rid of my Note 4 about 6 months ago and got a v20 because that is the last good phone with a removable battery.

I think he meant leaving the dongle attached to the headphone not inserted in the phone .

I can barely remember the last time I used an earphone jack on any phone except to connect to my car through aux cable. Currently, my new car uses Android Auto for almost everything and through a USB-C cable. I don't need the jack anymore.

I won't consider the Note 10 if Samsung ditches the 3.5mm jack. I prefer wired headphones for some use cases.

I meant on the headphones or earbuds. I would have never suggested to leave it attached to phone. I realize that some people care about headphone jacks. The bottom line that no device will have every feature we want so we have to go with what suits us best.

Well, I purchased Note 8 in July, then upgrade to the Note 9 in August. Mainly purchase flac hi res music files and I use 2 hi res headphones, one with 3 drivers and 4 drivers. So I will use the Note 9 for awhile and have not tested with the better wireless headphones yet. Can't know if wireless loses audio quality. But I love what I use now, wired

After using the Google Pixel 2, a lack of a headphone jack is not a deal breaker for me. There was only one instance in 14 months where not having a headphone jack put me in a bit of a jam - but had I brought my dongle I would've been okay. I've completely changed my mind about the current "lack of a headphone jack" situation with phones nowadays.

Sure, buy a $1000 phone and still have to pay for a Dongle due to the lack of the *!.@* headphone jack!

The dongle is a included on all Android phones.
