Will the X get Ginger bread?

I know everyone is excited about 2.2 but I'm more interested in Ginger bread. From what I have read this will have a new ui so does that mean blur will go away? I hope....

Blur will not go away. When this version is released, Moto and VZW will make their changes. When we get it, officially, it will have blur and bloatware.

It will get Gingerbread. We don't know if it will go away. But if you don't want to see Blur, use Launcher Pro Plus.

Yeah, the current crop of 1ghz handsets should all get Gingerbread. I'm much less confident about Honeycomb. And I'm sure some version of the Moto launcher plus blur apps will still be on it, just don't use them and get a new launcher to make that problem go away.

Blur, or motoblur is motorola's custom ui skin, akin to sense on htc devices or touchwiz on samsung's.

and to answer the question, yes, i think we will see it, but thats probably as far as it will go on the x

i like the ability to resize the widgets on launcher pro plus its the only reason i liked philblur. i just hope 2.2 fixes the freezing/rebooting. if it does i won't care about 2.5 or 3.0

I would just like a stable Froyo. Life would be good then. I will wait for Gingerbread when I get a new device.
