Will there be 2015 editions of the Note Tablets?

If you can afford the surface pro 3 then there is no need to wait for samsung to punch out some junk device that didn't undergo R&D testing and is full of flaws, only in an effort to sell you a new device and take your hard earned money. I would ditch my garbage note 10.1 in a heartbeat if I could afford the surface 3.

Really.? You are comparing $500 stuff with $1000+ overheating boxy looking stuff with no real functionality of a mobile OS.

I agree. I'm too scared to waste money on a 2014 edition when 2015 is around the corner. :(:(

You can hardly buy a new Note 10.1 2014 right now. Best Buy has only black wifi 16GB models, no white, no 32gb, the rest are all used or refurbs. Other places mostly the same situation. This must mean Samsung has stopped making them to clear out for a new model.

I would not buy a refurb frankly, because I have, twice. I picked up a sketchy 3rd party one "new in box" on ebay for abut $260. Probably a return item. It has some small issues, not sure whether to keep it. I really just want a light 10" sketch pad with wacom, and that role it fulfills. The speakers have a fuzzy sound with S's and the display flickers very slightly when dimmed between 0-35%. Before that I also bought another sketchy refurb from Groupon, sent it back because it would not charge. Researching, the Note 10.1 has had battery lead solder issues, and battery connector contact issues. Maybe could be fixed fairly easily. But that doesn't explain the speakers. Problem is, if I send it back I have to pay at least 2x as much for a brand new one, and then there will be a next-gen model within just a few months probably for about the same price. Sigh.

The functionality with the stylus, and the speed, and the screen quality - the Note 10.1 is definitely the best Android tablet I've ever used. Two gripes: the usb port is in a horrible place, and it's only USB2 and takes over 12 hours to charge. They certainly need to fix those two issues. I would pay full price for a good one, but yeah, I would get it from a reputed source so I could return it or get warranty coverage.

12 hr charge sounds like you're using the usb port on a PC. Typically my note 10.1 2014 takes 4 to 5 hours on the native Samsung charger.

It still seems there is no news on a release of an updated Note Pro 10.1. I am seriously considering getting an unlocked T-Mobile version of this tablet from an Amazon seller or eBay. Anybody else considering this? I like my Note 5 but sometimes I still need a bigger screen for using the S-Pen.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

I just solved my own delimma. I bought my wife a new Tab S2 9.7 LTE and I am getting her Note Pro 12.2.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

So have anyone seen if there will be a 2017 edition? I very much would like to have a lighter faster tab, with better camera and a faster charging time. Nfc support and an updated pen... Still lovin my 2014 edition, but it is getting old.. Still haven't seen anything I want to replace it with.. Samsun should give me an updated model.....
