WILL THERE BE AN N7 2 AND WHEN AND WILL IT HAVE A rear CAMERA?

Google doesn't want a rear camera on the Nexus 7 and that's exactly why I'm a Nexus 4 owner so you are right. If I wanted something with a rear camera I would have looked elsewhere.

I want a good rear facing camera on my N7.......that's why I'm not a N4 owner. I'm looking to the future for a N7 with rear cam.

So your saying.....all tablets but the N7 should have rear cams? But its also ok to have 3 different versions of the N7....just not one with a rear cam option. Your right...stifle innovation at the cost of saving $50 for anyone with a need/want for a rear cam on the N7.......but a 3G option.....everyone wants that right?

BTW. ever notice some apps have great sound quality. think asphalt 7, where as temple run is almost quiet as a church.. Isn't there an underlying API that can unify this mess?

Yes I experience this with a couple apps and some websites that use flash for radio station streaming. Its all about making the software work well with the hardware's abilities. JB/Android has much more work to do. But for now....its a good experience with the new devices and JB out recently.

If I want to take a photo, I use my phone. I have seen people attempt to use a tablet to take a photo/video. It's very comical. :)

A 7" device really isn't that awkward considering smartphones are getting bigger and bigger. I don't think people would use it for instagramming their food or taking videos of their kids--I would have used it for school (taking pics of the prof's notes, scanning articles bc it costs .10/page to scan at school, maybe some SmartTools stuff, etc). Adding a worthwhile rear cam would jack up the price, but they could have had a Play store-only N7 with rear cam for like $30 extra. But for $250 the N7 ain't bad as is.

I wouldn't mind a rear camera but only if its good. I don't want some grainy nasty picture though. I don't think a 7 inch tablet is too big for pictures. I also hope Google learned its lesson and doesn't bother with an 8gb tablet.

I love how some people think they know what everyone wants, doesn't want, needs or doesn't need. Try designing a product for a lesson in humility. There are always people that don't like the way you did it. So, one man's awkward is another's convenient.

Sure, using a tablet to take a picture can be awkward. But last night I was chatting with my GF via text and email using my N7. I wanted to send her a quick picture of something (no, get your mind otta da guttah). Had to grab my phone and do it but it would have been much easier if there was an RF camera in the N7. I watch my kids use their iPads to take pictures of things all the time. My son has a cooking class at school and he used the iPad cam as part of his assignment (cook the family a meal, document it).
