Will we ever get Oreo?

I have an earlier build of this and it's fantastic, I'm not sure why this wouldn't be perfect.

Re: Oreo Update

I flashed it to my T-Mobile note. It's running great so far. I was running US unlocked firmware before, but now I have all the great T-Mobile bloat back lol.

Re: Oreo Update

This is the most frustrating part of Samsung developers. Note 8 has been out dated for so long. Oreo will help the lagging and hiccups. Anyone who hasn't had hiccups knows this phone will have it or have experienced. It's why I'm dumping the note 8. It's great phone but the s pen isn't mightier then the line.

Re: Oreo Update

That article says:

Check your phone’s model number to see if its N950U or N950U1. If your model number is N950U1 you will have carrier apps and boot animation when using your phone.

I have the N950U1 but it's the unlocked model. i have no carrier apps or boot animation. Is this a typo?

Re: Oreo Update

"U" is the carrier version with subsequent carrier apps and boot logos. "U1" is unlocked without carrier apps. Yours is behaving correctly.

Re: Oreo Update

Recommended clean install so you don't have app issues

Re: Oreo Update

What is a boot animation

AT&T, Verizon, T Mobile, Sprint all put their own boot up animation / boot up screen with their logo on it. These animations are not on an unlocked phone.

Re: Oreo Update

any tutorial on how to install it on the NA SD note 8? And will it update itself when the official release drops?
