Will you be downloading BBM when it becomes available?

I'm sure you guys have heard that bbm is becoming multi platform.

As a One and Q10 user, I'm pretty damn excited. It's by far the best chat app in my opinion

Thoughts?

Hangouts for me. No person I talk to has a Blackberry. They should have done this years ago though.

I will. A lot of my overseas contacts use blackberrys.

But even so, people still use Whats App and other instant message apps. I'm excited to use BBM even between android or iPhone users.

I prefer hangout or whatsapp

HTC one > Samsung S4 > iPhone 5 > iPhone 4 > iPhone 3gs > iPhone 3g > iPhone 2g

Good call. I bought z10 before the news. If i knew this news before, I might stick with old bb, and buy galaxy when BBM for android arrive.
Although bb10 is superb OS, (fast and the keyboard is great), I love the variety of android apps. Its like everything can be tweak, or adjusted. And lots of great free apps :D
The community is great too!!

No. Just no. I pay for unlimited messages for a reason lmao

BBM is a cool idea but its a little to late IMO. I also know no one with a BB anymore. Sadly they have all gotten an iPhone or and Android device.

Nope. I just use old fashioned texting. And all my peeps are not on the same messaging platform. Some are on Google Talk/Hangouts, whatsapp and a couple others. There's no way I would even attempt to get everyone on the same platform and the answer for me isn't to be on them all. Honestly, I can catch most of my friends on facebook chat if I need to. I'm not really a fan of messaging apps. iMessage only works because Apple incorporates it into the normal messaging application and sends it if available. Otherwise, I wouldn't use that either if it was a standalone service.

This is the funniest excuse I've heard. "Everyone I know uses iPhone and Android so why would I use BBM". Because everyone that has iPhone and Android WILL BE ABLE TO USE IT. I bet you no one used Whats App before it was available. So why would anyone have downloaded it? "I don't know anyone that uses What's App, so I'm not going to use it." Seems to be a pretty popular platform now. So considering BBM is at least starting with a few million users, perhaps it will also take off, no? It is a better service after all. So why not? Just because it has the BB name attached to it and people hate BB so they won't have anything to do with it regardless, I suppose...

Nope. Text messages work fine for me. :).

Will I be able to use it for SMS/MMS? Does the other person have to have BBM? I don't know anyone who uses a BB as a personal phone.
