I think a lot of people upgrading to ICS phones will fail to realize these two launchers are out there. Personally I think that when we see more phones that run ICS these two launchers will be the new go to Home replacements.

I don't care what kind of phone you use, that's not how I judge someone's worth or intelligence.

Personally, I think a lot of people that have an absolute need for the stock launcher, you know, already have a Galaxy Nexus.

Believe it or not, not all of us feel compelled to use the stock launcher.

Yea ok, now please tell me why my quote makes you think I'm advocating the stock launcher. Nova and Apex are replacement launchers that offer much more customization than stock ICS on the Nexus.

Im currently rocking ADW on my Rezound and will likely try it on the SG3. On the Rezound I have found t to be the fastest of the launchers.

I am also running ADW Pro on my Droid X right now, runs really well on my phone. But I've never tried Touchwiz, so I'll probably give it a shot before trying out another launcher.

I will probably go stock for a little while then root it and run a rom and use whatever launcher that comes with the rom.

Nova launcher won't put soft keys on screen since the GS3 doesn't use them right? If it does can they be hidden?

I used nova too so i could remove the search box mainly but this rom gives me that ability and a couple others so i have no need for it but a good launcher none the less

Pfft. I'll install Cyanogenmod OpenDesign I may loose some of the features of the phone but it sounds as if they are going to try and port some of them over. :)

With this being mine first android phone I will run stock for a while. One of the reasons of going android is to root and play around with the phone. Then I will see what the good people of android central are doing with their S3's and go from there. I also hope it ships before the 9th.:)

I'l probably stick with TouchWiz for a bit to see if I like it or not. If I choose any launcher it will be ADW. I'm using it on my DX and personally have found it to be better than Go Launcher and I'm not a fan of MiHome (MIUI).

Every phone I've had has always been HTC. This is my first sammy phone. Heard nothing horror stories when it comes to touchwiz. I've handle the Galaxy S2 and thought it was ok. But I will be using Go Launcher as always. but I wanna spend a good week or more with the new Wiz.

I've got GoLauncher on my Rezound (still gingerbread) and it seems to lag and have performance issues from time to time. I'm not sure if that's more Gingerbread or GoLauncher. I threw Nova Launcher on an HTC Vivid when it was Gingerbread and also after it got upgraded to ICS and seriously Nova Launcher on ICS is just insanely fast. It's faster than the stock launcher. I haven't seen how GoLauncher runs on ICS yet, but I do like the calendar/sms widgets quite a bit.

I'm leaning towards Nova Launcher cause it's close to stock feel and insanely fast, but I'm going to try GoLauncher as well. If it can run without any hiccups I'll use it. Otherwise, I'm tired of having performance issues on my Android phones. I'm trying to customize my S3 only to a certain extent to keep it running smooth as can be.

Anyone have any thoughts on GoLauncher on an ICS phone?

I am running Apex right now on my Gnex. Not sure what I will run on my GSIII. Probably stick with Touchwiz for awhile, I liked it on my old Droid Charge, and on the Fascinate that I had. Nova or Apex is definitely where it is as at for ICS.

I always liked HTC Sense a lot and after I rooted my Thunderbolt I ran all the different BAMF ROMs to try out all the different versions. After the Thunderbolt ROMs started drying up I tried out GO launcher and really like it. I'm definitely looking forward to trying out Touchwiz with ICS and seeing if I like it. But when I go to a different launcher it will be GO with all the different themes and lock screens I have for it.

Do you disagree that out of all the 3rd party launchers, Nova and Apex are made to mimic the stock ICS look the most?

That's all I meant. Nothing more.
