I posted this picture because it's my favorite of me and my mom and I love her. It's from sometime around 87-89, I was like 4 or 5 and it was taken at Universal Studios Hollywood on a family vacation. Unfortunately, she passed away from brain cancer two years ago last week and looking at this makes me smile.
Yes, please! This is my motorcycle, it was a dream bike for over 10 years and 2 years ago I was blessed enough to have the opportunity to purchase it. This is probably my number one love when it comes to inanimate objects. (people rank higher than things...)
This is my 93 year old father taken the day we traveled to Washington DC with Honor Flight Chicago back in 2011 and him (front row, 2nd from left) back in 1942.
He served with distinction as a navigator aboard a B-17 during some of the heaviest combat of the war.
this is one of my most prized possesions... an original japanese return of the jedi poster signed by twelve members of cast and crew, including two of the "big three", both droids, vader, and the emperor. i've got almost everyone i could want except for a few. the wish list of remaining signatures is 1. harrison ford 2. george lucas 3. john williams 4. james earl jones 5. billy dee williams. i really love this thing, because i've kept it through some pretty serious financial troubles. it's worth more to me mentally than what i could sell it for. just the memories of meeting these folks, having conversations with some of them (i talked to mark hamill about his cameo in "jay and silent bob strike back"! highlight of that con for sure!), waiting in line with friends, and the cons in general!
Here is a pic from the world of tanks website. I love this online game. There is nothing like driving around a world war 2 tank and blasting other tanks to relieve the stress from a hard days work.
