I have been looking for an Incredible cell phone to enter the 21st Century for years and have been interested in Android since the release of the HTC Hero last fall. Alas, Sprint was not the carrier for me, and before I could acquire the beautiful interface of the DROID Eris, I learned of an update to Android and chose to wait a little longer. But then Google Navigation was announced, the Nexus was coming, and there was constantly something new on the horizon.
So I bid my time, searching for a carrier that would provide an Incredible cell phone experience. T-Mobile?s EDGE network was more reliable than their 3G. AT&T is only the fastest 3G in cities like Chicago, New York, and Boston. Boost Mobile, while flexible, only worked with IDEN phones that are anything but smart. Finally I discovered Verizon, which in my area fit just right, and all I require is a phone.
But no common cell phone will do, I need a perfect phone, an Incredible phone to alter the course of my life. A cell phone will keep me connected with family and friends, with voicemail alerts and caller ID to assist me in returning missed calls. With apps that connect me to Facebook and Flicker, and can reconnect with old friends while staying in-touch with distance family. Constant access to email will make me more productive at work, and a large screen will let me control my desktop remotely when out of the office for a conference.
A truly smart phone will provide me an Incredible variety options to overcome my shortcomings. Meal trackers and work-out monitors will encourage me to get fit by graphing my successes and scolding me should I lapse into my old ways. While I will always procrastinate in life, with constant access to a calendar and to-do list, I will always be ready when I find the energy to accomplish my goals and no longer frustrated by forgotten items and lost paper lists.
With the Incredible power of the internet at my finger tips, its knowledge accessible with the power of my voice, I can search for answers to the mysteries of life?like how to mix margarita?s for Cinco de Mayo. RSS feeds will notify me as new tidbits of information about my favorite operating system appear from the talented staff at Android Central. And Google Navigation will encourage me to travel the states.
So here is to the Incredible staff at Android Central, for providing me with this wonderful opportunity to experience all that the technology age has to offer without the worry and fear of being locked into a long term contract, should I find myself only needing a data plan and the power of VOIP to accomplish my goals.
