Re: I would love a Samsung Epic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This phone is epic. Im thinking about switching to sprint now. Free one would be nice

My reason for winning an Epic 4g

I am new to the android world and have thinking about making the switch from the dreaded iphone. Of course that means I am on the att network but I have been looking to switch carriers. This would be the perfect reason to switch!!! I know att has the captivate but the full qwerty keyboard and front facing camera is more appealing to me. I would love to make this phone my change into the android world.

These are indeed exciting times for Samsung, Android and probably most importantly Sprint. I use to work for Sprint for 12 years. I have seen a lot of devices, promotions, launches and ups and downs. I left the company a year and a half ago partially because they looked like a sinking ship. There was a lot of negative comments everywhere about them. I didn't think anything could save. When I first heard about the HTC Evo, I thought they could make a difference. After reading the specs, I decided to get one. My first Android phone. Wow, would never go back th Blackberry. For two months, I've been amazed. Now the Epic. Another great 4g device. I would love one of course, but no upgrade until next June. But I this wish Sprint equal or greater success as they try to get back in the green. I do have a soft spot for them.

This phone looks awesome. I'm actually considering switching over from my pre to get this one. I like the slide out qwerty and the overall feel of the device.

My Hero has been my first smartphone and I can't wait to move on to bigger and better things. If the Epic was that thing....well...obviously it'd be Epic. I also wouldn't cry about the $10 add on fee.

This would be so awesome because I'm in the DC area which had it's 4g turned on about 2 months ago and I can't wait to have a phone that can use it!

Dude, I NEED this phone!!!

I have the Evo, and I love it, but something about this Epic is just that! I hope to get this beast!!!

Looks like the perfect phone for my son, who now has the Touch Pro 2. He loves the slide-out keyboard, and I think he wants android like my Evo.

I miss the physical keyboard from the Moment. My fingers don't like on-screen typing for some reason.

Not to mention it looks like an AMAZING phone!!!!!

I never trolled the Android Central forums much before but now since I am trying to win the Epic, i see that it is pretty cool. I will have to come back more often. Nice community you have here Phil! I listen to the podcast and got the site in my RSS feed but never entered the forum. You just got yourself a new forum troll :)

I decided to leave Blackberry O.S. system and changing over to the Android system. My Brother has the HTC Evo and its more than fast than my old 9700. The Epic would be the perfect first Android phone to get. See ya blackberry hello Android Epic!!!!!!!!!.

Pick me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I need a new phone. I currently have a moment. Its' ok.... but its really slow. Hopefully I'll be able to use the 4g by the end of the year here in pittsburgh when sprint turns it on.

is android central great or what. thanks guy. want to check out the reviews for the Epic 4G since the wife seems to take my EVO in the morning. looks like I will need a new phone and a free Epic 4G would really help.

I am actually considering switching my Evo for Epic, just for the keyboard and smaller screen size. I never thought I'd say that, but 4.3 inches is just too much.

Oh, and as of today, 5 of my iPhone loving friends are now Android users and my GF is next! :)

My contract with TMobile is just about up and I'm thinking of going to Sprint for some 4G goodness! Is there a more epic way to make that transition than to go into it with a free Epic? I think not! This phone has just about any and everything you could need in a phone!

This phone has everything: physical keyboard, front facing camera, whiskey dispenser. Wait, no whiskey dispenser? Oh well, it's still an amazing phone. Winning this phone might just be the motivation I need to switch to Sprint.

I still thing that 4G isn't going to save Sprint. When Lte comes out on a carrier with more subsribers people will suddenly forget about Sprint's lacking 4G service.

With that said, I have the captivate and would love to own an Epic!

The Super AMOLED does look nice, and the option of using a physical keyboard is very appealing. But Samsung's UI skin looks mighty ugly. Is there a way to turn it off?

Ok, kids - I'm going to confess something here. Hold on to your hats. I have an irrational and unexplainable fear of landscape slider keyboards. There; I said it. I already feel better. But see, the thing is, I need to know - are they really so bad? I mean, I loved my BlackBerry 8330 keyboard, and that things was like a Barbie klik-klak little thing. I've been rocking the virtual keyboard on my HTC Hero for a while, and have gotten used to it, but I'm not the biggest fan. It may be time to give that untouched unknown realm of secret hidden keys a shot.

So, anyone? Care to help me out and weigh in on the keyboard debate (and assauge my phobia while we're at it)?
