In all seriousness I need this beause my evo is dying. I got stuck with a bum battery from day one and I refuse to buy another battery! Sprint continues to **** me around about getting me another one!!!! I NEED THIS EPIC 4G !!!!!!!!!

well feeling that i was talked into getting the Evo by my friend and having to switch from a great sprint employee plan to a retail family plan was one thing, i mean dont get me wrong i really love my Evo. What makes me mad though is that my same friend went and returned his Evo without telling me, to save his upgrade so that he can get the Epic, and now he keeps rubbing it in my face, yea what a jerk, but i would love to have an Epic and an evo just to rub it right back in his face, but either way with the evo or the epic i think im still a winner and hes a loser , just my opinion lol, good luck to all

WICKEt!, A Chance To Win A FREE Epic 4G Is Insane, HaHa.
Sad Thing Is I Never Ever Owned An Android Phone And If I Get The Chance It Will Make My Life(Not Day).

Oh And I Love Android By The Way, Been A Fan Since The T-Mobile G1

Epic 4G

I need a replacement for my Pre that has a physical keyboard. This is the one!!!

The Epic 4G looked like my almost perfect phone coming from a G1. It had the keyboard, 4" AMOLED screen, 1GHz processor, etc. Only downside is that it was quite a bit thinker and heavier than the non-keyboard Galaxy-S.

Have purchased a regular Galaxy-S I know that weight shouldn't be too bad, since the non-keyboard phones are ridiculously light. I don't miss the keyboard too much because with Swype and a larger screen I can type reasonably fast, though there are situations where I wish I had a physical keyboard (check out Kwak arena ; ).

What also makes the Epic 4G standout is that it has the forward facing camera that other US Galaxy-S don't have. I'll miss that as well. Also heard that Samsung has fixed the pesky GPS problem on this phone. That would have been a bummer for new owners. Hopefully I win the contest and will be able to play with both phones.

I am rocking out a water damaged HTC Hero (although I don't notice any issues just yet). The sticker on the back of the phone is red and soon enough I am thinking I may have to retire it. If that happens, I will not be able to afford another phone, so I will have to use my girlfriends old phone...A BLACKBERRY!!!! PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!! I DON'T WANT A BLACKBERRY!!!! plus the larger screen and qwerty keyboard really are a sweet package and even if my phone was in tip top shape i would get one of these instantly if i could ever afford it.

I pre-ordered my phone online and just found out today they do not have any in stock and will not ship till they do. What was the point of a pre-order then?! Oh well I am cancelling my order. If I somehow get lucky enough to win the contest I will be so happy. Otherwise I will head out and pick one up after the podcast.

Really looking forward to this phone.

Sorry, iPhone keyboard got stuck. Please rescue me from the god-awful thing!

Well, I'd love a shot at an epic 4G. I mean, I do have the EVO, but what the heck!

Love the central forums. Came over from Precentral when I got the EVO.

I would like a physical keyboard although I've gotten acquainted with Swype, which makes the Evo superb!

The things I would do with this phone:
Video calls? Check.
Gameloft gaming? Check.
Seamless Emulating? Check.
Instant App Opening? Check.
Lack of Apple ******-baggery? Check.

My Story

I'm not one to multiple post in order to try to win something...it's one and done for me so I hope my one counts. I guess I consider myself an undercover tech buff. I switched phones constantly until the iphone came out and was actually happy with it longer than any other phone I used (I still switched it quite a few times during my 3 years using it only to go back to it). I finally got tired of it especially since the last one had no significant changes to it that impressed me and I switched to Android. I must say that I have been impressed with Android and I believe I may stick with it probably as long as I did with the iphone. I used the Evo but I would love to give the Epic a try. So, that's my story.

Been loyal to WMExperts for several years now, but with WM phones on the decline, please give me a reason to switch to Android Central.

I got to play with an Epic 4G on Sunday at the SAMS club - i saw this girl at the Radio Shack booth in there that sells cell phones she was prancing around and a guy was using the EPIC to do the Action shot .
So I went up to her and she was nice enough to let me play with it - that screen is impressive, the buttons on the front didn't seem to work the way i thought they should but maybe I didn't have enough time with it for sure

She was a lot nicer than the girl at the sprint store whom I asked who the advocate for the Epic was and she hesitated a bit and told me it was her... I then asked if she had it and I could play with it and boy was she a bad liar - even the tech guy told me he got to play with hers.

anyway cool phone and I can't wait for others to get it MORE PEOPLE to video chat with YAY!

I have an EVO and I love it! Only real draw back for me is how power hungry the 4.3" screen is. Anyone here know how the Super AMOLED compares in terms of power consumption? I'm thinking about having the wife get an Epic 4G (coming from BB Curve) ... and I don't want to feel her wrath if the screen sucks too much juice.

I've been rooting my old Mytouch forever trying to squeeze something out of it. Doesn't a hummingbird sound nice?

I think everyone with an EVO, if one of them wins, they should send their EVO to me, I'd suffer with an old phone like that, for cause and all. Think of it as rescuing a poor palm user.. with the small price of a coffee a day, you too can save a palm user
