I actually just bought the Evo but my gf, who unfortunately is not up for a rebate HATES her phone and wanted the Epic or the Evo but can't afford the amount right now.

This would be an awesome early x-mas present for her.

So, not too many posts here, but I've been creeping a lot of the threads... Not too worried about the "crippling" of touch whiz, or the "different" camera hardware; and since I also have a PS3, I'm not too worried about the video out, but it would be nice if both the Analog and HDMI turned out to work so that there would effectively be no TV you couldn't connect to. Looking to run the Epic through the wringer with video playback and audio playback. Finally, I want to put to rest the down trodden Palm Pre that I carry around... Hardware, definitely not Palm's strong point.

Thanks AC for this great giveaway..I think i deserve to get this phone because ive never owned a android device before...heck im still using a Motorola KRZ for heaven sake. I hate when some random hot girl ask if they could barrow my phone, only to have them chuckle and laugh at me. If i had an Epic i know that all this would stop...not only stop but actually have a attracting effect. Ill finally get a hot girlfriend.So please AC....help me find love. If this had been released anywhere near when my contract was up, this would be my phone instead of an EVO 4G. I have grown to love my EVO, but I never wanted to move away from a physical keyboard.

Then again, I've never had a slider smartphone either. Anyone know if there are good protective case options coming down the pike?

Being a long time blackberry user I never thought about another phone.Until I recently tried out an Andriod phone.It does everything you could ever want plus easier and funner.I love my Moment and cannot wait tell my upgrade in a couple months to get the Epic

ok I'll be honest here. I read this website every day. I also read a lot of discussion forums here but never registered on the site. So now is the opportunity. Just registered here so that I can participate in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and win a Epic 4G. It's crazy how well the galaxy S phones have been received, Samsung is looking to be a cell phone powerhouse after this generation of phones, and it seems like they may just do that.

The Epic does seem like a schweet phone.

I currently have an EVO, but kind of miss my keyboard. I have been debating getting the Epic 4g, and selling my EVO, but haven't decided if that is worth the trouble or not yet. Getting a free one, would make that decision very easy.

Sucks for those of us still on Swiftel's idiot version of Sprint. Can't get them through our local stores. The only way to use one is to get it unlocked and then ask Sprint corporate to give you a number outside Swiftel's cartel controlled territory.

I LOVE my EVO 4G and will not be giving it up anytime soon but I certainly appreciate Sprint's push for high end 4G capable phones. Android is such a great OS and it's only going to get better folks!

I just got the Evo and I'm really bummed about the 30fps cap and the lack of a real keyboard. I'm a little worried about the slider mechanism because I'm coming from the pre so hopefully that won't be an issue. I'm also hoping that Samsung steps up to the plate and not only gives us a quick update to Froyo but Gingerbread as well.

I snagged myself an Epic at Best Buy (no preorder) and am loving it. I'm new to Android, coming from Webos, and this phone is one bad mofo. Wife still needs an upgrade, so I'm posting for her for this 'epic' contest.

I would like to move to the Epic just for the upgraded screen type, but it would be hard to move off the Sense UI on the EVO.

I was lucky to get my wifes EVO pretty cheap through craigslist due to the person waiting for the Epic

Samsung Epic 4G! Ohmygoshes!

I went into my local Sprint store earlier today because I had a small amount of hope that they would have a Samsung Epic 4G that I could hold and mess around with.

But I was highly disappointed. I come home and the first website I check is Android Central, and lo and behold, I read about this contest. Now I'm really excited and I just wanna say thanks for doing this.
