For me it is the fact that it has a 720p video camcorder with hdmi out!! That to me is just awesome!! Can't wait!! Can I also add that I'm super excited to get rid of my 3gs!!!

Can't wait for 4g, large screen for surfing and watching HD video, 8mp camera, and live capture-to-internet streaming.
But most of all I can't wait to finally ditch my TREO. I passed on the Pre despite my 2 yr being up over a year ago, and then passed again on the Hero because I knew Sprint could do better.

BUILT-IN BABY MONITOR FEATURE:
Definitely video chat with REAR facing camera: put the EVO on a chest of drawers above my sleeping 18 month old at grandma's house and using my wife's (anticipated) EVO (with mute ON) we have an instant baby monitor over 4G at grandma's house and over wifi at my sister's house! An elegant solution...

What spec can you not be looking forward to?
With a 4.3" hd screen i can be at work watching avatar.
With the 1Ghz super speedy snapdragon processor, I can play a game, listen to music (thank you 3.5mm jack), and share my location on latitude.
with the 4g speeds and front facing camera, I can video chat with my family in washington -- from where ever i am.
With the 8mp camera I can go on vacation and not have to carry around a bulky camera.
With gps nav, I can get to all my friends places with ease.
With google mobile services I can finally have everything I want at my fingertips (stupid WinMo).
Wtih the android market (apps) i can finally have all the games and apps i want.
But the spec I think I will like the most is the fact that it will not be the ever so buggy, laggy, freeze when you want it to do something -- touch pro (current phone).

I'll be coming from Palm Pre so my favorite feature is a freaking phone that works. It would also be a nice bonus to not have to replace it every couple of months.
Looking forward to the very large screen, jumping from a pre to this will be a huge improvment in screen size, cant wait to watch HQ youtube vids and try out the kindle app when it is launched.
Why am I most excited about the new HTC EVO? Erm.. i put my hands on prototype of this smartphone, so, i would like to share my first impressions and thing i would like to try..
Before i start.. battery is empty dammit! I got only one picture of new HTC Sence on Android 2.1.. home screen.. Buttons don't work on prototype so i would like to try it on real one.. Btw, you can see little HTC logo in up-left corner so rumor about this device is correct! Check pic bellow for some specs.. click to enlarge..
Okay, that was home screen, lets go to next one i capture with my Nokia 2600 ( don't have camera, but i used hack to root ROM and install camera ).
Okay, HTC Evo coming with 8.0 MP camera and (dead) flash on prototype (damn, i really need to check real one.. argh!..), and again ! There is HTC mark! Yep! It's real..
Next picture will show you Volume control button and slot for microSD card ( i put my own, 10 Gb, and prototype crash.. omg), also there is some bug in design.. Don't judge me! I found it in bar near my place..

Thats my lill review about prototype, i would like to see real one - there is some things i would like to try, Sense UI, WiFi, 4G, HD, etc.. and buttons! All hardware i showed you up are corrupted because man who left it in bar was really drunk.. and i found some beer things (i won't name it) on screen, and little cheese left from dinner..
Anyway, i would like to try Evo 4G (gonna try first smartphone in my life!) and share my experience with ACentral and my friends.
When ever i use word "Android" and "Phone", my friends ask me to tell them more information about that phones and so.. I know pretty much, but i'm not some professional as you guys, but i would like to be.. As you know, this glossy thing coming with "heart of dragon" - Snapdragon processor - So what you think ? Am i dragon rider ? Naaa.. i'm hunter. Anyway,4G is not yet avaiblle in my country, so 3G wold be fine for now, and i think i'm going to France next year.. or this one.. not sure.. Camera with 8 mp will make everyone here crazy, including myself. Phone as Nokia 97 and 97 are pretty popular here, i saw only one friend holing Hero in hands and he was impressed, so i asked him to give me in my hands, and man.. damn.. that was so awesome! It's too good feeling when you use your fingers not for typing some sharp keyboard, as i type at the moment.. Screen touch taking you to the clouds!
What else i can say ? Bluetooth, USB connection, i hope Froyo later.. microSD memory for apps ? Niceee.. I won't tell anything about HD on this phone, because i don't even have computer witch can run HD clips! Not even 720p.. not to mention what happen when i tried 1080p.. I will describe you - Peeeeeeeeeeeep! "Low on RAM memory!".. BOOM! Computer starting to boot up again.. To the hell and back.. What i'm gonna do with HD ? Don't even think to ask me, it will be MESS AND CHAOS! Let's talk about wireless. That is really rare kind of connection..here.. You can spot wifi at your home(if you have it), work(if your boss have it), school and over some nice places as supermarket is, or some shopping center. Maybe you not gonna believe, but you can't catch wifi when you going to holidays or walking with your friends in your street, that's soo pathetic.. If i'm right, all of you have or had an wifi connection which you were able to find anywhere.. Somewhere in the ground or over the air, god helps you.. Yeeeeaah, but things here work in other cases. Wifi is hard to catch, but when you got it you download as mad or just visit faceboook, youtube and other websites which interesting you.Next impression of human population here was a 3G network. Half of peoples who have phones with 3G, don't use it, or don't know how.. They don't even know what it is.. shame.. They should give me their phones. heheh... Next - here is still popular using normal calls, using keyboard and other pleasures which i'm not going to mention.. And, at last - Smartphones! We have some Hero, HD, Smart, Nexus, Desire(best at the moment, you can find it in your operator store in main town of country, hell no.. Price is &!/&%"#.. don't ask), and we miss a lot of new phones!
I think 10 % of peoples here know what Android is(my mom thought that was a new game i'm playing.. hehe), and i think i'll be able to see and hold(not to buy!) Incredible, MyTouch, etc.. somewhere in 2010.. but.. i'm not gonna survive end of world, so i'll never see Evo.. About Evo again, that thing will probably initiate some revolution here, and.. I would like to introduce peoples and friends in this new and powerful dragon heart smartphone.. Trying new features, customize performance, looking for some really good SENSE to get experience with Android. I prefer to became a developer, still not sure which language will i learn, but Android sounds just fine..
At here, the Evo is not just a phone. It's mirror of you and it is your key to get some fun and girls.. The Evo is your life! Owning a one of them will increase your hood reputation, friends will become more careful and useful, you are the chosen one.. What else do i need ? Friends, girl, dragon and friendly reputation.. i'm looking forward to the FIFA WORLD CUP being seen at my desk in chicago with 4G Speeds on that lovely 4.3 inch touchscreen with the kickstand to aid my vision....
not to mention the 8MP camera which means i can sell my sony digital camera; and scrap my camcorder; cause this bad boy records in 720p.. I'm buying the phone regardless, but i'd love to win it

The biggest item for me, outside of the 4g with living in Seattle, is the HDMI out. With a lot if not most newer HDTVs, they usually have panel on the sides of the TV for HDMI, USB, audio etc.
This will make it quite easy to load up a video or 3 and when i go to various friends houses or anywhere else, I can just pop in the cable (no dock needed like the ZuneHD) and get to instant watching.
Will be nice also for YouTube since there are quite a few longer videos for educational things as well as movies to easily be had with just one tiny HDMI cable and the HTC Evo 4G.
All in all the Evo will make a great portable media player that can be a phone, gaming device (gameloft yay) and a replacement for the Overdrive.

I'm excited about the whole phone as general. but the one thing I like the most is I'm getting rid of my pre. I'm excited about the 4g and the massive screen, I'm probably won't be using my computer at home.
Most excited for HD quality with kickstand. Now I'll be able to watch a movie on a flight without my arm ready to falloff 20 minutes in.
What is there not to like about the HTC Evo 4G!? 4.3" Touchscreen, HD Video 720p, WIMAX!!! Love it all! HTC Sense looks much nicer and more exciting than standard android screen.
I love every aspect of this phone, but the part I'm looking forward to most has got to be the video chat!
