The overall Android experience is what I'm looking for to drag along with me around 50 family and friends that use me for tech support to their BB's and iphones. I'm consolidating all on Android and this handset has a very rich feature set that will make it an easier sell for me to convince them. Biggest physical feature for me is the 4.3" screen, makes displaying features easy and I'm sure I'll get oooh's and aaah's.
Thanks in advance!

I cant wait to show Apple how Video Calls should be made using the forward facing Cam. Video calls either through skype, G Talk or some other client would be GRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeat!!!!

The one thing that excites me about the Evo 4G has to be the 1GHz Snapdragon processor. I, like many other members, am coming from a Palm Pre. It's operating system is nice, but the fact that it is slow, and lagged up from time to time really killed the experience for me. I think the Evo 4G's Snapdragon processor will solve all my Pre woes, so I can finally enjoy a piece of technology the way it was meant to be enjoyed. Regardless if I win or lose, I'm going to be getting this phone. Theres no If, or maybe with this decision. My only woe is that I have to wait until July 1st to get it because thats when I'll be finally eligible for this device. But as they say, patience is a virtue, and thats just what I will have to have.

I have to say the feature I'm most excited about is that it's well built and has the specs to back up the OS. Coming from a Palm Pre, I am painfully reminded every day just how much good software can be absolutely hamstrung by cheap, underpowered hardware. The over the top, insane hardware of the Evo should allow Android to perform to it's full potential.

I haven't read the whole thing, but I think this thread is probably what I'm most excited about. I mean my god 214 pages!!!! Way to bust out the big guns AC admins!

Pick me, please?

Totally excited about the fact that it has TWO cameras...but the hot spot capability is pretty freakin' sweet, too.

By the way, thanks for keeping me updated on all things Android, appreciate it greatly!

Just reply to this thread and tell us what feature you're most excited about in the Evo 4G. Maybe it's the massive 4.3-inch screen. Maybe it's the full 1GHz Snapdragon processor. Maybe it's the 4G WiMax. Or the 8-device WiFi hotspot capability. Or the HDMI-out. Or the two-way video chat. Or the simultaneous voice and date. Or its ability to overthrow small nations (roaming charges may apply).

Good luck!

honestly for me, its the fact that it has built in wifi. I know, i know that most of the phones released in the last few years have that, but i have been stuck with a Treo 700wx for quite a while now (keyboard no longer works, which is a hug PITA).

Most of the places im at for extended periods of time (home, work school) have a wireless signal, so to be able to surf the web using the wifi, instead of 3g is going to make a huge difference to me.

I am stoked for Sprint Wimax. Not being stuck in a contract with service that requires me to stand exactly 4 steps to the right of my dorm room entrance and directly in the middle of my hall to be able to hold a conversation for 2 minutes before the call drops will be amazing.
