Soon to be former Iphone User.

When I bought my iPhone in 2008 I loved it. I played with it everyday and it changed my life. Now that my 2 year contract is almost up I was planning on getting the next iPhone. Then I read about the EVO. I couldn't believe what this phone had to offer. The most important thing to me for the EVO has to be the freedom. Too long have I been forced to use one video codec on my phone, good apps come and go because they violate some arbitrary rule, will never experience flash on a mobile device or the same UI that has not changed in 4 major software releases.

That also doesn't include the change in the carrier that has horrible customer service, continued dropped calls and lost SMS messages. I look forward to another device changing my life and Google, HTC and sprint are leading the way.

My favorite feature on the htc evo 4g would have to be the 1GHz Snapdragon processor because i am somebody who multitasks so that would mean listening to my music while surfing the internet or checking email or maybe even using my apps. And that awesome processor would make that so easy with no sign of lag unlike the phone i have now that i desperately want to upgrade but haven't been able to do so!!

Finally a touch screen device large enough for large hand accuracy. I have been turned off by touch screen only devices for a long time and have had to find hardware keyboard phones. My Touch Pro 2 has a great keyboard but Windows Mobile is tragic and the Android port on that phone has a little ways to go before having all functions working. Thought my prayers were answered with the Samsung Moment but the physical keyboard was horrid.
Basically the Sprint HTC Evo is the answer to all my wants; beautiful screen (despite not being AMOLED), dual flash camera worth using, front facing camera (yes we all have done self-portraits before), kickstand, snapdragon, and Sprint 4g service. Everything I could want or need in a phone done faster and with a phone OS that just plain works!

I'd have to say the huge screen because can you imagine playing SNESoid on that thing! Would be awesome!!

Thanks!

I think the feature I am most excited about is the massive screen on the device. I convert a lot of videos for my phones and sometimes I wish my screen was a little bigger to match my ego or my junk lol. Will with this device I still see it all, I mean everything. Also nice to have a big screen when doing video conferencing so I can see all the idiots in the back ground doing silly things that they believe can't be seen

This is my very first post here and I'm happy to be a part of Android Central! I'm currently a Palm Pre owner/user on Sprint and a member of PreCentral. I have a lot more friends with Android phones and I'm considering switching. WebOS is great, but the hardware, pretty much sucks. :(

Now to the post. The EVO feature I'm looking forward to the most? I think it's the speedy combination of the processor and the 4G. Speed is king and to quote the beginning of the movie, "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby,"

"America is all about speed. Hot, nasty, badass speed." -Eleanor Roosevelt, 1936

Snapdragon processor working at full speed should make for very responsive and iPhone-comparable usability. Can't wait to get my hands on it!

Video Chat/Streaming Video

I am most looking forward to the video chat/ vowel streaming. I am deploying to Afgan soon and this means my wife will be able to Skype with my while taking my son to the park and not just from the living room. I won't feel like I missed as much as I did on the last few deployments.

the front facing camera on android, need I say more! I think it would be cool to have the biggest phone around the office.
Were all big on rooting at my office. Go EVO!

Evo 4g

I am most excited about the 4G speeds!!!! And I am interested to mess around with the HDMI Port. Please pick me! I am locked in to Sprint/Nextel and would love to dump my crappy "Bloop-bloop".

Best Feature

The best feature I can't wait for is the fire red middle of the phone. I think the best quality of this phone is that red highlight along with the red battery!

High-quality video streaming and downloads at 3G and 4G data speeds
* Capture and share HD-quality video (720p) from your phone
* Live video sharing with Qik

Awesome
