The features that i'm most excited about are the 4.3 screen and the forward facing camera, so that I can chat with my kids while out on a business trip.

It's really not any one feature that I'm super excited for, but when you look at the specs in all its entirety, then you understand. HTC is making it clear: this is the Android phone to rule them all. Hell, it's specs are unmatched by ANY phone. THAT'S what makes me excited for the Evo. It's a powerhouse.

Screen

The screen will be amazing to look at AND the new technology behind it's multi-touch will lead to some new and awesome apps

I'm most excited about this phone as a whole for everyone involved or a fan of Android. With this phone being the first major 4G phone, amazing hardware, and Android 2.1, it's going to create success for even companies like Motorola, and Samsung with their phones. This phone will cause lots of positive Android press and create a bigger mind share for the users who have not yet jumped on-board Android in a sea of iPhone Koolaid.

4G support, outstanding hardware from HTC, and the best mobile OS available = win.

The huge screen is doing it for me. I'm an academic (read: poor grad student who studies artificial neural networks), so I have to read lots of PDFs on the go to keep up with the latest research. I've been struggling to do it using a first-gen iPod Touch for the last year or so, and would love the extra resolution and screen area the Evo could provide.

Although I dont use Sprint as my service provider, I am most interested in seeing how 4G will change how people use their smartphones....both Android & all other OS.

From the looks of things, 4G will definitely be a game changer and I'm hoping that other service providers will jump on the bandwagon.

It's amazing how far Android (& smartphones) have come in such a short amount of time! Remember when cell phones were "bricks" and you could here other conversations going on while you were talking to the person at the other end of the line?

Big thing for me is simultaneous voice and data (no, not DatE, Phil ;) ), and the large screen, so I can remotely log in to manage the computer systems I run.
A small screen and the lack of data while I am on the phone on my current phone doesn't cut it.
