behind some frame propped up against the wall and what I think I remember being a jukebox. Some poor fellow right before me actually moved the frame and didn't look at the back of it, where it was taped.

i would get drunk and cry myself to sleep :'(

Awesome, congratulations! So did they actually give you a working Charge and let you activate it?

they did have a working one, but they didn't let me keep it. They actually had boxed up, new charges but told me they couldn't give it to me yet. I'm assuming it's because of the 4g network issues the other day that caused the delay in the launch - I should get it shipped to me once the phone actually launches, whenever that is

OH that BS if its yours they should give it to you

I got there just in time to see them interviewing keatonandrew. Congrats BTW.

I did score a 25 dollar gift card as well :D

Oh man so I missed the one in San Antonio. I drove down from ATX to SA and spent ALL DAY there wasting my time. What a rip! Anyways, I got the tweet SMS'd to my phone as backup, and it hit first. I immediately refreshed the map, saw the new map detail, got the GPS coords and was off down the street. Sure enough, nowhere near the GPS coords from the past 2 days. I get there after fighting traffic for about 4 mins, only to find there is no Sunset Station there. No no, instead the GPS coords/map on chargelanding were WRONG. I google Sunset Station only to find it's across downtown. WTF!!

So I take off like a bat out of hell trying to get there.

I end up getting there I think 4th. Two guys were there and 1 of them won it. Another guy had shown up right in front of me, and we all got to see them jumping out and saying the guy won, etc... Really chapped my *** to see that. If I hadn't followed the stupid GPS coords and just Googled it, I might have actually been there before that guy. Who knows. Oh well, $25 gift card will be less than useful too, since I have no VZW service. Maybe I will get a case I can use or something...

I got them to film me *****ing them out for publishing wrong GPS coordinates, but oh well, it likely won't even be aired anywhere. If it was, I'm the guy in the hat with the "nom" Android eating Apple shirt and hoody..

The VZW people didn't have a clue what they were doing. I heard them explaining what to do to everyone. I think they must have all just shown up and met themselves or something. It's like a bunch of locals and maybe 1-2 ppl from corporate who are organizing this. Aside from GPS coords, they also tweeted the location wrong after Vincent won... *rolleyes*

What a waste of time, but it was thrilling to say the least... *SIGH* #FAIL :(

That sux big time. How awesome of Verizon to use GPS yet only to FAIL at putting the right coordinates in. FAIL, FAIL, FAIL Verizon.

Yeah seriously, they were updated after each final clue and yet for SA it is a total fail. WTF VZW!! I want my gas money back!! :(

It was a jukebox. Actually right as you came in on the left. I think the guy before you was the business dressed guy with the insane earpiece. The Verizon reps tried describing it but I couldn't figure it out from what they were saying. At least we'll have the video. I dunno if I would have seen it though. It was kind of dark inside and my eyes don't transition well.

I think there were 6-7 of us there around the same time? One guy had two kids but didn't use them effectively in his search. I think most of us were tossing the same tables and chairs looking.

After having seen the location and thought about the layout of the building, it almost made complete sense for where it was. It was the only place they could spray confetti without having it be a bigger mess. But if that's all you're thinking about when you get there, everyone else will be looking while you're thinking.

But I had fun and that's what I was looking for. Plus side - if it rains, you're stuck in a building in Atlanta, and you decide to drink to pass the time, Engine 11 is great.

Best of luck tomorrow folks in San Diego, Rochester, and Columbus.

I WON THE ONE IN SAN ANTONIO!!!! Well, my buddy Vince did. But he was there for me and will give me the phone once he gets it. Man I was sooo excited! I need that phone. I've had the Droid Eris(rooted) for almost 2 years.

I'm sorry Fletch. Don't know what your mix up was. I picked up my friend at 5pm. We headed towards downtown, cause I thought I'd be at Market Square based on map. Got tweet at 5:04 that it was at Sunset Station. Luckily I was on freeway already and was able to be at Sunset Station by 5:11. I never looked at GPS coordinates. I just frantically searched till I saw the guy with the camera. Started looking and called Vince to come where I was at and he started looking. Found it in 4-5 mins. In that time about 6-7 people showed up, but he ultimately got it. He was wanting me to say I found it but I said they got it on camera and for him to do all the stuff, I know who will be getting it that's all that matters...

So I think it was a combination of luck and the fact I had four eyes looking for me. Maybe the next one will be in Austin and Fletch, you'll have the local advantage. Now, Waiting Is The Hardest Part...

Hurry up DroidLanding and tweet, lol. Chillin in the short north in downtown Columbus. Hopefully it pops up around here

Btw thanks Euphzilla! I am going to try my hardest.

Ya well I walked around a bit and came back to the parking place I was at and mmy battery had died. Thank God someone jumped me and now I am afraid to turn my car off as I am not sure what made it die.

I think Verizon will stick to their usually tweet times of 5 and 5:30.
