My Blackberry debacle.

Im so looking forward to getting an android phone someday first off.

Heres my Story;

I used to work for an IT company who was also a Verizon Store. At a VZW agent conference I won, in a raffle, a nice new Curve 8330. I was happy with the Curve, and the fact that my Boss at the time had me on his company plan and paid the bill. I happily used my Blackberry untill the Boss and i had a falling out and he fired me. He then proceeded to mark MY Phone as "Stolen" on his account, thus bricking my Curve. So, here i am at another IT company that is also a Verizon store, and I'm on a lovely Employee Plan. All is great except I have to outright buy any device i want to use on my employee plan. I'm currently stuck with an old Blackberry 8703e, Upgraded to 4.3. It says low battery all the time, and has a clickwheel so, NO apps! It is a tank though. The battery is completely broken in half but still works when put in the device. I hate my old boss, and I hope someday ill get a decent smartphone again. Even if i don't win, Ive Finally vented my horror story. DONT BE ON A COMPANY PLAN!

I too decided that my first smart phone should be a Blackberry, mostly because I can't stand AT&T. So, I started with the Storm.

After taking my 5th one back for any number of reasons, I switched to the Tour.

And I'm on my third.

I'm a Mac guy and I don't care what anyone says, Blackberry's are not Mac friendly. The desktop manager causes kernel panics and doesn't even back up the phone correctly.

I'm already using Google for everything, would be keen to rock an Incredible instead.

right now i am using the Samsung Smooth because it was free, and i have 3 kids, and i live paycheck to paycheck so i am unable to buy all these great phones that come out because they are too expensive. Instead, i am only able to read about them and read all the great things that people who have them, say about them! I would probably cry tears of joy if i received this phone from you guys!

Droid Incredible

I have a two year old BB 9000 Bold running on AT&T. It has been a trusty companion, but it is time to move on.
The Incredible is just the ticket. It has the right about of Exchange support along with the HTC Sense goodness.
Me want!!

i'm currently using the Motorola Droid that my girlfriend purchased for me when we started going out. She knows i really want the Incredible and we got into a couple of arguements about me getting a new phone. She said she will never buy me anymore gadgets as i always want something new. We're supposed to be saving up for a new apartment and if i win this Incredible. We won't get into another arguement! help me out android central!

I am using an old BB Curve. The phone is so outdated, it's not funny. No webkit browser, no usefull apps, no 3G. Its a dinosaur which I can't get upgraded to a decent Android device on Tmobile.

What sorry old phone am I using? A Blackberry that's what. Well, at least it's not an iPhone. lol But seriously I need something that's more revolution that evolution.

Pick me. Thanks guys/gals...:D

Zach Morris called and he wants his phone back

I really need to get this new Droid Incredible, although I'm not sure how it works since there are no giant buttons or antenna. I'm having trouble with reception every time I try and call Slater on my phone it's all static.

Right now I am stuck with a blackberry tour. My first mistake was getting a storm 1. My thought process was to get the storm 1 and wait the 30 days to get the storm 2 when it came out since it was so close when i first picked up the storm 1. 30 days went by and the storm 2 still wasnt out so i was stuck with with my storm 1. a week later is when the storm 2 decides to come out. i was upset but at the same time i started to get used to the storm 1 and started to like it a lil bit. all of a sudden my memory sucked. it was always low. but then 5.0 comes out and i think that everything is all good but noooooo.....the memory is always low on that since its a larger OS. but then i decide to get the tour and i gave the storm 1 to my mom. i felt bad because i forced her to get a new line just for me. what makes it so bad is that it was on my lil brother's birthday...i'm getting something new and its his birthday...oh well. at first i was satisfied with the tour because it had more memory. i never had an issue with battery life but the memory was important to me. but then the 5.0 OS update for the tour comes out. since being the person that i am i like to have everything updated. i updated my phone and here comes click issues on the internet. this is the one thing that made me mad. i liked the threaded text messages that came with the update but the click issues are something that is hard to overcome. now my mom doesn't like her storm 1 because of battery life. she is getting my tour and i am paying full retail for the incredible. I am hoping that she doesn't have any issues with the tour. I dont think she will since she doesnt be on the internet like that. at least that is what i'm hoping. from what i am seeing i will enjoy the incredible. 3 days and counting...

At the moment I am using my HTC Diamond that my DOG LITERALLY ate.

Not long after I got this phone (back in the good ole Alltel days) my English Bulldog puppy knocked it off the nightstand and proceeded to make a snack out of it while I showered.

The bright side was that he inadvertently placed a call, resulting in a hilarious voicemail (om-nom-nom..omm-nommnom -- Dexter, whats that? Dext-- DEXTER WHAT THE ****!? DAMN IT!) and I have a slightly chewed beater phone.

Help me escape from att insanity!!!

I had a Black Berry from ATT.

It was so bad, I sold the phone and no longer use one for that account. SO I forward all of Call, but no text or email to this 1972 BlackBerry from Work.

Work has graciously given me a another BB on the Sprint Network. Which in my opinion is worse then ATT.

So I have my ATT calls forwarded to my Sprint BB.
I am not in a contract with ATT so I will not go get another with Crappy Service, and willing to move to a network, phone and service that works!

What can I do with a the Droid Incredible you ask?
Maybe have one day with phone service that works and continue to do business with some sense of normalcy!! Let alone the advanced features of Texting, browsing, applications that work (lol).

Hopefully Verizon Her I Come.

Thanks for offer.

OK I have a 2.5 year old Nokia 6126! This thing is falling apart. The front screen has no casing around it, and the battery will barley last me through the day. I am just holding out to get either the Incredible or the Evo.

Well my sorry phone would be my droid eris which is still stuck on OS 1.5, with all the hopes and change promise to 2.1 being dashed away with each passing day I grow tired of waiting, I need this Incredible phone, I need 2.1...Plus I would give give my old droid to my wife..

Win another Droid Incredible from Android Central

I ahve a Blackberry Storm and I have had my fill with it. HTC keeps blowing my mind with all there new devices. No matter what provider your with they have the best phones. HD2, EVO 4G, Touch 2, Droid, and now the Incredible. I cant imagine what will come next.

BB Storm 1 and I've been tolerating it since Day 1 back in November 2008. Very few good apps and even if there were any good ones, I can't fit them on my ~20MB of remaining memory. The damn "thinks" like crazy and I don't care what anyone says over at CB, I shouldn't have to schedule a restart or perform a regular battery pull just to get it running efficiently. The only thing, and I repeat only thing it has going for it is that it's a global phone. That's the only thing stopping it from meeting the business end of my sledge hammer.

A developers dilemma

I've invested a lot of time, blood, sweat, and tears in developing for Windows Mobile over the years. My HTC Touch Diamond is now as obsolete as it gets, and also a shining example of Microsoft's failure.

It's time to transition to a more successful platform. Android or iPhone?
I'm hoping Phil will help me make the right decision and with it, provide a shiny Android phone. :)

Cheers.
