Ahh, where do I begin with Windows Mobile. I own a Verizon Touch Pro 2, running a custom ROM of Windows Mobile 6.5, along with being able to dual boot to Android. Windows Mobile to me was always the 'Little Engine that Could", but is now the "Little Engine that Can't". The Touch Pro 2 however is an amazing device for what it's worth, the keyboard is great, but HTC can only do so much for the lacking of Windows Mobile. Many call the HTC Sense on the Touch Pro 2, putting lipstick on a pig. I agree, while I love HTC and what they do for platforms with their innovation and Sense UI, it could only go so far for the Window Mobile Platform till you realize I just want something that works the way it's suppose to, such as Android. The TP2 was cool when it came out, but all along I was always curious about an Android phone and was waiting till one arrived on Verizon with some great horsepower under the hood. I am able to boot Android onto the TP2 like an Android wannabee and play with the OS a little, and gathering from this experience I love the Android OS and I'm excited about joining the party soon. I look at these rumor leaks of the Windows Mobile Phone 7 Series Edition Experience... (or whatever the heck they want to call it, lol), and frankly all of those damn tiles get me dizzy, lol. It's like looking at a stained glass window (no pun intended). It looks really confusing to me, gives me a headache, and I'm just not excited about the potential of Windows Mobile anymore. What I am excited about is the new Droid Incredible, the epitome of what an Android phone, or any smartphone for that matter, should be. I no longer want to have this Windows Mobile phone which is like running the equivalent of Windows XP in 2010. I mean Windows XP gets the job done in my world of I.T., but I'm riding a bicycle with training wheels while I'm getting passed and run over by sports cars with a Green Android Robot Emblem on the front, LOL. Android is the future. Please feel my pain.
Sincerely,
Future Android Phone owner and fanatic.
