What do you keep you're window transition speed set to in developer options? I'm at .5. Thanks for the input

Yeah. There's a toggle for off. I don't see any need for them and, as a plus, it makes the phone feel like it's running at warp 9. Haha

True that I have now turned my off. The phone definitely feels like it's at warp speed that's for sure. As an off topic, you don't know if there's a way to force YouTube to always play in the highest definitely possible at all do you? Thanks!

Yea holy crap, turning off animations, it feels like phone is going warp speed now. I used to keep it at .5x, this is much better.

I keep all animations off. Don't care for them, and I think having them off saves battery? I rather have better battery life than a fancy window animation that serves no purpose.

I'd wonder if that's actually true though. If no window screen animations equals better battery life. Interesting.

Sorry to ask a silly question but where in the settings etc can I do this?

Activate "developer options" by pressing the developer options " button" 7 times in quick succession, it's there under settings, then scroll down to animations and set the 3 types to off.

Turning off animations is normally the first thing I do with a new phone. However I recently factory reset and I actually like the animations.

I so to like the animations but I also do like the snappiness if the OS, and how fast everything feels, plus if it does have a little but more in battery power then that's great as well.

Just be careful when you turn off the window animations. Some apps don't perform the way they're supposed to. I remember Hangouts not properly advancing the conversation thread when I had animations off.

Are there any the apps that are similar ? I haven't noticed anything like this before.
