Windows PC only detects Samsung J5 as camera

Hello, I have been using my J5 successfully to transfer files on my old DELL desktop but I changed to another Desktop same OS windows xp sp3 as the previous one but this pc will only recognize my phone as a camera. I already tried everything I read, from updating Samsung USB drivers, putting the phone on developer to usb debugging, the *#0808# then clicking mtp+adb, going to start+run regedit deleting "uperfilters", trying 3rd party apps to do file transfers but nothing seems to work. I tried so many solutions I found on the net forgot some I already tried. It just seems the pc either detects the J5 as a camera or sometimes nothing at all. From the old pc I had no problems just this one I using now. Can you please help? Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Just to be sure -- you've already made sure the USB connection mode is MTP, not PTP, right?
