I had a tester test all zvh roms on zvj and I think he reported back it didn't work I think

I believe I read on this forum somewhere that they work, but you don't get radio support (Calls, SMS, MMS, Data, etc.) due to the baseband not being the version the rom was made for.
True, but HydroRom is based off a stock rom, cyanogenmod is a completely different beast.

Different baseband, different radio. Sorry.
Just use thekrakens version which runs on ZVD. And to the HydroROM comment, I'm not surprised since it's based off the stock rom.And to clarify to everyone else, this ROM ONLY runs on ZVH. Thank you.
Does anybody know when will they have a Cyanogen Mod for ZVJ?....I am not feeling all the other availible ROMS....I wish I was a coding God.....

This is the same reason there is no cm7 for zvh/j .CyanogenMod doesn't support the newer radios. (or at least they didn't).I remember me was working on that, but with his sense port, idk where CyanogenMod stands on his to do list. As to the second comment, I think we all wish we were coding gods, except for the coding Gods themselves, who wish they hasn't spent so much time alone at home learning to code.

I second that, I haven't gotten around to java yet, but C# and the rest can be hard, especially when you have a design in mind full of features only to find out that implementing them is extremely complex lol

It isnt that high on my list... but i may take another crack at it soon cuz HTC are evil with the way they made Sense... it does not like me at all...
my sprint optimus s is already rooted with cyanogenmod 7 and now im looking to upgrade to cyanogenmod 9 with ics. the only dealbreaker for me is the lack of text messaging whcih i use very very often and it is very hard to discern whether it is working or not on other people's phones from this thread. can someone please tell me if it is working and if not then point me in the right direction to an ics-based mod that allows for text messaging

also one more question. what is this whole zvd radio only thing about? i cant find any information on what it is or anything
It is your baseband which can be found in about phone in settings only certain roms can be flashed on certain basebands I'm on zvd but their is zvh and zvj also

The way you can fix it is by reading the page where you were downloading the file that could potentially brick your phone. Not trying to be mean here, but reading and taking things slow is REALLY important. (That's the cause of ALL BRICKS* ) Now, if you want cm9 (and who doesn't?). You need to downgrade to the zvd baseband using this, and than flash Cold As Ice CM9 by theKraven found here. (Note that this is still in the alpha stage, and not everything works perfectly, but data works and it is much farther along than this).
*Unless you do it deliberately while writing an unbricking guide, or you have the mad skills to brick your phone in a way not discovered or imaged by anyone here on these forums (which is quite rare)
