Wireless charging and a good phone case=mutually exclusive?

Am I correct? Most phones that can do wireless charging need a special back first of all, that has to be able to touch the charge plate, but this means you can't put a case on it, correct?

not sure where you got that idea. i have a N7 that has a non special case, and it charges up just fine.

I have a Qi receiver in my Note 3, and an Otterbox Defender case on it, and it also charges just fine.

depend on which phone, some require a special back cover and some don't.

Ok, so, say I got the Note 4, and put a Otterbox on it, would it be able to be wirelessly charged?
