Wireless charging has stopped working

I have an issue with wireless charging as well. mine refuses to charge at all unless I turn on the screen saver. this is using the new Samsung charger, with or without a case. Same charger works fine with a V30. wired charging works fine.

I am rarely having wireless charging problems with my N8 in a thin Spigen NroHybrid case, although I have the convertible Samsung promo charger, which can be finicky,. Occasionally, charging turns off, a minute after placing it vertically on the charger, especially if the bottom edge of the case isn't touching the lip on the inside ledge of the stand. In addition, the phone's home button needs to be perfectly centered over the blue light of the charger.

It is interesting that my wife's LG G6 charges without a hitch on the Samsung charger, but won't charge on a Seneo charger unless she removes the thick case on her phone. However, she accidentally discovered that her phone, even with that case on, will charge if the phone is placed upside down onto the Seneo charger. The Seneo charger works fine with my N8 in any position.

So perhaps, if you are having problems with your tall N8 on the Samsung charger, it might be worth trying to charge it vertically upside down. It just might make it easier for the coils in both the charger and the tall phone to "see" each other.

Believe me, I tried all that....I have the neo hybrid case as well....it wasn't working in any position...and sometimes when it did work, it still drained rather than charged...

I received my convertible last night and it worked initially but I was screen casting to a Samsung tvand watching Netflix. It said "stopped charging" after a few minutes. I put it back on and it charged after that and through the night (100% in the morning) I'll see how it does tonight.

It comes with its own charger which looks like the one that comes with the phone. It shouldn't make any difference.

Ok didn't know that, the dex apparently doesn't, at least that's one thing ruled out.
The aftermarket dual coil one I have at work works fine just plugged in to usb and phone have a slim case if that info can help in trouble shooting

As a former note 7 owner(x2) I'm not quite as forgiving of that stuff as I would be otherwise...but I did hear a small voice somewhere telling me to just keep it and deal...

I have the rugged oem samsung case and love it so much that decided to sell the oem samsung fast charger, that charger is too big, too weak, not the fastest and fan could be noisy. I bought a 3rd party fast charger with noiseless fan and works great with the rugged case, no interruptions and charges faster and cooler

Just tried this along with taking the ultra hybrid Spigen case off. No joy. Shows that it's connected but the percentage does not go up. Had been working fine for a few months. Samsung fast charger, old version on the S8+
