Wireless charging has stopped working

So anyone find anything out . I'm wondering if I should replace m8ne or wait or what......

I can confirm that my note will not charge wirelessly, with or without my spigen case, on either the convertible Samsung charger they gave as a gift or with the one from last year's note 7, both with the cords and bricks they came with....anybody find a solution, please let me know....

I bought Samsung convertible that Is supposed to work for note7 I put my naked note 8 and it won't charge my phone says wireless charging paused. I am using note 8 cord came with my note 8

I have an OtterBox case on my Note 8 and the only way that I can use it on my Samsung quick charge stand it to place it sideways. It's just too tall and bulky standing up.

I played with both of our Note 8s and several different wireless chargers, and what I'm finding is that our two Note 8s charge wirelessly, and in the fast-charge mode, but only if you get them positioned carefully on the chargers. But keep in mind that we do both have the bulky Pelican cases on them.

With the Samsung "convertible" chargers, I get good charging if I have the charger folded down flat and lay the phone very carefully so it's perfectly centered on the charger. I can't get it to charge with the charger standing up, either in portrait or landscape orientation anymore even though at one time, I did have it work in landscape. My wife has had good luck with hers in landscape orientation. Go figure!

Again, we've both got the relatively thick Pelican cases installed.

I received the Pleson chargers from Amazon yesterday, and they work if the phone is placed in landscape orientation and held up from where it would naturally sit. I cannot make them work at all with the phone in portrait orientation, just like with the Samsung convertibles.

The center of the phone must be placed close to the center of the charger.

To make that placement easy, I've stuck some cut pieces of rather firm closed-cell packing foam onto the chargers with double-sided adhesive tape so that the phones can sit on the chargers, in landscape orientation, and have their centers lined up with the centers of the chargers.

This seems to work every time, and very reliably so far.

The phone claims to be charging in the fast-charge mode, and does, indeed charge rather quickly, even when running the phone, watching TV on it, etc. Of course, things get a bit warm, but nothing seems "too hot". This is very convenient.

Note that you must not only buy the charger, but also a separate power supply for it. They state that the power supply must be QC2 and/or QC3 compliant. The ones I got are these:

The chargers themselves are these:

I can't vouch for the long-term reliability of either item, of course, but they've been working fine so far in the limited time I've been able to test and use them.

Here's how this all looks:

Wow all this for a function that should just work right out of the box. Seems like a lot. I've talked to the folks from t-mobile I was told there are more and more people complaining about this. Would be nice if they could fix it without having to exchange it.

So I called Samsung's help line and after him walking me through the settings to ensure the wireless charging switch was on, and me declining to do a factory reset to see if that worked, (because I've done enough factory resets between all the phones I've had including two note 7s, a replacement surgery edge between them and the note 5 that followed to know better..) he switched me to Samsung's premium care that I bought with the phone. After first telling me there would be a deductible charged, the lady advised the phone still had a manufacturers warranty a new one would be shipped without cost...once that happens ( assuming it's not delayed by waiting for the folks that ordered but haven't received theirs) I am one final factory reset and restore away from regaining wireless charging bliss...

OK, I can confirm that the Samsung Rugged case DOES NOT work on the Samsung charger that I got with my Note 8. I put it on the charger and the blur light on the charger comes up and then immediately goes off. Without the case it charges without issue. I need a thinner case it would appear.

There is a sticker that is on the case inside the packaging that states that it will not work with wireless charging. It may if you place it on the charger in a very specific way but that's why that disclaimer is in the packaging.

spoke to Samsung, got transferred to premium care, ordered new phone that came today, no charge....forgot to tell them I had the orchids gray though...oh well..

Samsung replaced my phone for this free of charge....sucker came the next day too! my only regret is I forgot to tell them I had the orchid grey...one, so I'm back in black....

Sorry...didn’t realize I double posted....it works fine! What did they tell you as to why they couldn’t help?

Yes it does.... the first one worked well also for a week so I’m keeping a eye on it...

I have always used the standard wireless Samsung Brand charger with my Note 5 but when I moved to the Note 8 I thought I would see what the fast chargers are like. So far I'm a bit disappointed.

First the Samsung Brand that holds them upright at an angle doesn't work with my case on. It "pauses" after a couple minutes. Works fine if I remove the case which I'm not going to do. Forget that. The standard one works so WTF on this one?

I tried a third party one, the Seneo and it shows as fast charging but honestly, it's not fast. It's the same as the above Samsung Fast charger (while it states fast charging on the phone, it still is only marginally faster than the regular one.

How long are you all getting on your wireless charger in terms of time to charge up? Mine is at 74% and it's telling me approx 49 minutes to full. That's the same with or without my case. Haven't timed it officially but it appears to be holding to that time.

Does that seem normal?
