I'm not an idiot, of course I'm not going by that speed. I'm going buy the numerous speed test websites and the Comcast definition of the service I pay for:
Extreme 105
Downloads up to 105Mbps, uploads up to 10Mbps.
So as you said, you'll never get that throughput due to other limitations, but if you have wireless N you have much room to play around with. The desktop I use is most certainly not a limitation hardware wise, but my evo maxes out at about 22MB on wireless N. Well..it use to, I only get about 14 now.
No no I wasn't calling you that, or implying it. But what you should know is our machines are still a big limitation when it comes to transferring big files. Have you ever seen servers lag? The power those machines have are light years ahead of our home machines. The big numbers you see are complete gimmicks with routers. The machines will always bottleneck transferring files that start to become large, or when trying to host servers.
