Got my replacement D1, it's a NIB D2!!!

They ran out of D1s! My L key broke, called in Monday they said I would get a refurb D1, today my brand new D2 shows up. Now the question is whether I should trade it for an X on craigslist or ebay...

Wow... my X is supposed to ship on Sep 13. All of these reports of D2 replacements make me wonder if I should find a problem with my D1 (hmm, is that a crackle I hear in my headphones?) and upgrade before I sell it!

It's fine, he's doing something else besides saying he got it.

If you liked your D1, give it a try. Else you can sell/trade.
I say you try it out and if you don't like it then go with the X.

ha, must've been a day late. I, too, got a Droid 1. Came with FRG22D. Slider is wobbly and the keyboard is flat instead of bubbled like my other one. grrr

did you just call in to verizon customer service or did you go to the store??

seanubis, really that is like a total loser thing to say. what are you 12 years old? a company does something extra for a customer and fist thing children do is try to take advantage of it. Sure, i expect similar or better when there is a 'real' issue and that is why i for one have stayed with VZW for so many years.

I think they are restocked now because I got a D1 refurb yesterday, screen was wobbling around so they are sending another one today but the refurbs are back in stock. Congrats on getting the D2, there seems to be a few lucky people, the rest of us must be getting their phones now after they are refurbed haha

I got my D1 replacement today. I was hoping for the D2 but it was a D1. What I am noticing though is that when i flick the screen it wobbles? I think I may need to call this in again.

I would call, got my 2nd one today and the bottom of the screen didnt really even lock in so they are sending me yet another one. My wife is going to take it when I get my X and I dont want it to be half falling apart, this is her first smartphone.

Ya the rep on the phone told me it is highly unlikely to get 2 refurbs that have problems, it was the same thing with the BB storms. To be honest the one I got today looked like someone put the stickers on the one they were sending back and they just got it back and sent it right out. I should have taken a picture

I can understand that one 2 of mine came with a unofficial baseband the last one kept me from getting the ota just wouldn't load. So that tells me they didn't even sbf it. Just packaged it and shipped it

Same here. The screen feels like it's going to fall off and don't think it's possible for the keys to be any flatter. Still having trouble maintaining a wifi connection and the phone gets extremely hot (130F+) after only 10-15min of web browsing.

welp, replacement #2 is on the way. Seems that the replacement had more issues than my original (wobbly keyboard, super flat keys, wifi disconnects, hot enough to cook an egg). The next one will probably fall apart as soon as I get it.

I doubt it, I am going on #3 and they are getting worse, lets hope this next one is a keeper (arrives on Tue.)
