With no internal SD Card how should we backup?

Since our Nexus doesn't have a micro SD slot what is the best way to make a TiBackup or ROM Manager nandroid backup and store it elsewhere other than the internal memory of the device for safe keeping?

I used to do this all the time with my Captivate and rotate SD cards so I always had a safe backup not stored physically inside the device.

Thanks!

You do have internal sd, you don't have external sd. TiBu and CWM will save to the internal sd by default. CWM will never wipe the internal sd when you wipe to flash ROMs or anything.. But I believe that using the Factory Reset option from within ICS will wipe it, so just never do that if you don't want to lose anything and you will be fine.

The Galaxy Nexus use a "virtual" SD card.
The system treats it just like it's a removable card.
When you backup via Titanium the backups go there, just like if it was a removable drive.
When you do things like data wipes etc, that virtual sd card partition (i guess it's a partition) isn't touched.

Now you can't remove it so you can either mouth the drive to a computer and pull off the stuff you want to backup or in the case of titanium you could backup to dropbox and be good.

When you plug it into your computer, the media folder it shows you IS the virtual sd card. You should see a folder there for your TiBu backups and clockworkmod backups. Simply open and copy to your computer for safekeeping.

When I plug into my computer, I can see the folders, but I can't see any files in the TiBu folder. This seems to be part of the MTP standard. It only allows you to transfer specific "media" file types.

Because of this, I have been using ADB to push and pull files to and from my phone.

I have also used WiFi File Explorer Pro, but it can't handle a huge number of files at once. (Not to mention that it can be slow.)

I would love to be ably to connect the same way mass storage does! I just haven't found a way. (Maybe custom ROM's have this ability? I haven't gotten there yet.)

Correct. A Factory Reset option from within ICS will most definitely wipe it. I made the mistake of assuming that using the Backup (to Google servers) with apps and data would backup and restore everything. It did back up apps and settings to the Google servers but not media, word, excel, etc. files. I think Backup Pro has an option to back up on-line. If you have windows 7 you can easily port a Titanium or Back up Pro folder to the pc and put it back on and restore when you are ready. A little more trouble than just taking out the SD Card, to be sure but I think it's worth the trouble.

I used My Backup Pro to back up my data and apps to SD before I unlocked and rooted my GNex using the "Galaxy Nexus Root Toolkit" last night. When I reinstalled My Backup Pro, and tried to restore the backups I'd made, they were gone. Does anyone know why that would be? It looks like they were lost in the wipe that was done in the unlock / root process.

That's because unlocking the bootloader completely wipes everything, sd card included. At least you only have to do it once :\
