Felt good writing just no slot to put it and that ruins it for me because I don't like the option so far . But the fold itself I like very much .

Yeah, if we were to forget the pen discussing Fold3, I imagine the Fold would be a fun piece to have and play with. I really liked the Fold2 and I don't think I've seen the 3 yet so I imagine a tad thinner and the front screen must be even better. Maybe another gen or two for me to be thinner. Have fun with your Fold!

Yeah, that's why I think the pen as accessory will probably be short lived because of that same sentiment of having to carry the pen separately. I am really liking the idea of a clip style with extra clip to mount the pen if one had to have the pen with them. But I would only get the Fold just like you with media consumption in mind. I rarely use the pen on my N20U anyways but would get it anyways for its design/shape/thinness anyways. If they did a Note 22, I'd get it for that reason again and not really because of the pen. The pen in the silo is just a cool add-on.

Definitely try it out in the store , definitely smaller compared to the Note 20u and that display when unfolded is really nice . The spen as a accessory is not something I like but I knew getting the fold it wouldn't be a big deal to me .

I am a critic of the Spen as a accessory also, but I have to say I use the Spen on the fold 3 more then I've ever used it on the notes combined. It just works better for me on that big screen. I don't carry it around with me either. Pulling the Spen out was nothing I ever did when out and about, so me complaining about it on the s21 doesnt make sense now, think the fold 3 thought me that I never needed it out and about anyway. I bought these and just mount the Spen on my end table back, works great.

well considering I just bought the Note 20U, thats my answer. I would love a fold, but not paying 1800 for it. I got the note 20U for 250 with trading in my s20 ultra + the 250 instant rebate. It will tide me over until this all gets sorted out. Improve the cameras on the fold and flip. Bring the price down on the fold, then I will consider it.

Traded in my fold 2 and a note I had laying around. There was also a extra $200 off for pre-orders.

You can never beat the pre-order pricing when you add the promo amounts. $200 gift promo $200 off price pre-order promo and $160 value of year insurance that was free. And yes I could have sold the phones thru Swappa, but probably not for that amount, I would have had to cover the cost up front for the fold 3, and I would have had to mess around with selling them and risk scams.

So you are using the Samsung case with the pen holder? Do you pocket carry that combination?? If so, how is it carrying that rig on a daily basis?

Or just a nice tight belt with your cargo pants to keep you decent in public lol. I tried a belt clip setup with a smaller phone and it was a major pita.... phone would snag on/scratch everything in sight, hard to position so it would work with seat belts, and just generally uncomfortable. Won't be doing that again lol.

Samsung took multiple devices to stack trade-in amount for Fold3?? If so, I hope they do that with future phones... I have an IT office with a ton of phones I can stack up for a Note 22U or a Fold 4/5

I thought it was going to be something like when I got my N20U and AT&T gave $1000 off (credit) for my 3 year old Note 8 making my cost $300. (For me) That was a deal.

Well IMO even if you never get the insurance, you still get it free for a year, so it's still if value. We both did fine

For the first time since my first smart phone in 2011, I won't be upgrading. Bad decisions Samsung is making to eliminate their differentiating features and quite possibly their dominance. Shooting themselves in the foot if you ask me. So glad I went all out on the Note 20 Ultra with 512gb cause I may be with it a long time. Damn good phone

If that's how trademarks work then that gives us hope. Like I said there was rumor/mention by Samsung exec of the Note being skipped this year and coming back next year. If that's the case then I hope it keeps it current signature "look" as shown in that Note 21 render. Man, there is just something about that squared corners and thin profile that for me make it look much better than the S series phones.

I just watched this if true I'm all the way in!!!! The fold is just not for me kind of gimmicky nothing stands out to me. But if the Spen has a camera on the note 22 that's a game changer period!! I hope this is true!!!
