This honestly scares me. Im afraid what might happen down the road when it's too late. I just the v20 2 days ago. I'm seriously considering if I should return it for something else but what is there? S7e is having issues, I'm on AT&T so no pixel. Iphone maybe? I'm so tired of phone issues. Is anyone planning on returning the v20? If so what are you getting to replace it?

I read and saw pics the note 7 battery issue now happened to a s7e

I have 3 of them in my house. I was going to get a V20, but with the camera lense issue, the AT&T $830 price, no Qi charging and I would miss Samsung pay, I thought I should just keep my S7e. I hope there is not an issue. The only other phone I had wanted was a Note 7. I may have to go back to Windows Mobile. :-)

if i get it...im already considering best buy protection plan... it a monthly fee over the course of 2 year which might equal to 340...

Not even remotely considering returning it. If, and in my opinion that's a big if, the camera glass shatters I'll replace the glass. There is a big difference between a minor inconvenience and a safety issue. I returned my Note 7's but will certainly keep the V20.

The design is very similar to the G5. I replaced the lens on the G5 in under 5 minutes from the outside of the phone. Replacement cost for the lens 7.99 and up to 20 dollars for OEM lens. All it takes to remove the old one is a little preheating to soften the adhesive. Then you gently pry up in a broken section with a small screwdriver or small pick. Once you lift it you gently pull it off with a tweezer. If you still have the lens protector on it should be easier as it may hold any loose shards together although on the G5 there was no protector. I don't know what is available for the V20 but the replacement lenses come in two forms on the G5. A one piece with adhesive already attached and the OEM version which has a separate adhesive layer. There is also a plastic replacement lens but I'm not sure if that impacts the camera quality.
Interestingly LG does the repair by taking the G5 apart and pushing out the old lens from the inside which is unnecessary and I hear that they charge about 150 for the repair. The design is different on the V20 so I'm not sure how LG does it but I imagine it can still be removed externally. There will probably be how to videos on YouTube shortly.
Be aware that when I researched this for the G5 that I found that breaking camera lenses is quite common on a lot of phones. I also found that sometimes they crack on their own....that's what happened to me. I think its just a tight fit and they should have made the lens thicker or made individual lenses for each camera.

my S7 Edge was running fine since launch. I think it is a solid phone. I was just ready to try something else. I just got the V20 yesterday, now i find myself babying this phone, afraid that i will break the camera glass before the return window is up

So i might return it, not just for that. But i dont like the FPS on the back. I love the huge screen though.

There is no shortage of S7's with broken camera glass either. Just google Galaxy S7 Broken Camera. There are even replacement kits on Amazon.

This sucks! I don't have it but I was SOOO close to placing an order. Now I'll wait for more review while looking at other options.

Starting to feel a little better. Maybe someone will make a glass camera lens protector.

Do me a favor.....

......order yourself any plastic screen protector and make the cut out for the camera lens glass and apply it. It should protect the glass from accidentally shattering. If you can't at least do that.....get yourself another phone and be done with it.

That's actually a good idea💡

Catch is you would be paying the deductible for something you probably should not have if as simple to crack as apparently so (unless dropped the device).
