Woke up to Jellybean 4.1.1 update

I was eager to get the Jellybean update so I downloaded the OTA update zip. I was not able to do the update via usb for some reason. I tried it twice and an error was reported both times. I decided to do a factory reset and wipe. After a few minutes of setup and using the Xoom I got a pop-up for the JB update. So far so good. Everythings seems to be working really well. This Xoom is a great tablet!

I'm here in north Florida and just got it as soon as I turned my Xoom on.... it's silky smooth! Flash not being there is something to get used to though :-\

I didn't get mine automatically but I forced it by clearing data under Google Framework

I got a notification yesterday afternoon that an update was available. I tapped more info to see if it was really JB and saw that it was. After a while of downloading my Xoom was frozen on the red Motorola boot screen, and it was still there hours later. I finally was able to get it to reboot, but after it was all done there was no JB update for me! I'm freaking out, trying to get it to come back. I hate to do a complete wipe but it sounds like that's one possible solution.

The Unix epoch is Jan. 1, 1970, 00:00 UTC. Anyone in the UTC and earlier time zones have 1970 as the epoch. The epoch is simply just the base date. Unix-like OSes use it as the base point to then count up from in seconds to determine the current date. Thus, anyone in the US and later zones would instead get Dec. 31, 1969. Just letting everyone know.

Always wondered about that. Also, the Android Twitter account tweeted the update is rolling out to every WiFi Xoom now.

Update, after about 10 minutes it started running normally.

From what I've read on the Moto support forums, that is somewhat normal.

When a new OS version is installed, according to them, the OS goes through a bit of a stabilization process so that it is running at an optimal rate.

Definitely noticed initial lag issues with the update. They seem to have cleared up with an additional restart on my end.

When the ICS push was happening I got mine about five days after it started. I got Jelly Bean on the first day.

Just got it after doing the "clear data" trick. No problems at all so far and I saw where someone posted there was no Flash ... yes there is.

Got mine this morning about 8 AM. Everything smoooth so far. Can you believe it!! My oldest android devise and it gets JB before my latest. Go Figure!!

For those of you using Chrome as the default browser with the OTA Jelly Bean, when doing a Google search from the home screen by pressing the upper left Google search bar, and then clicking on the link to a web page which then launches Chrome browser, does your browser open up two tabs of the same page?

Mine does.

Yeah mine does that. Rather annoying. Don't know if there is a way to stop it.
