WOL a Mac?

Is it possible? The reason I need this is because, when I don't have my Mac with me, I like to use PocketCloud Remote RDP/VNC by Wyse Technology to access my computer. However, when I try to connect to it while it's asleep at home, a message pops up saying it couldn't connect. I've tried multiple WOL apps, but none actually woke up my Mac. Can I WOL via SSH using an app such as ConnectBot? Is there an app that can successfully WOL a Mac? Is there a VNC Viewer that has WOL capabilities? Thanks in advance.
