So my phone I have now blows. Some of the buttons don't work half the time when dialing, I keep hitting this button on the side that constantly tells me in this annoying female voice to "Please say a name..". Its coming to the point where I want to take an axe to the center of this phone.

All the stores in my area are out of the Incredible except a certain BestBuy that is selling them for $599.99. I'm thinking I should just order it online for the $529.99 price but I'm to impatient to wait 2 weeks for delivery..haha

Should I bite the bullet and go to Bestbuy or just suck it up and order it online and wait?

My gf ordered it Tuesday got the may not ship till May 14th notice but received the phone today, Thursday. So it might be worth it to save the $70 and hope you have a similar experience. Here's hoping you get lucky.

If you're eligible for a 2 year contract price, why wouldn't you get that price at Best Buy with a 2 year contract?

well.. speaking from personal experience, I would say HELL YES! I was locked into a Storm 2 and hated that phone so much that every penny of $556.12 was worth it.

Get a used motorola driod. There will ons of folks upgrading to this one. Save yourself $300.

I just sold my droid and purchased the Incredible. From the few days worth of using it so far, I'd definately say yes. Much much faster. The ONLY thing I dislike right now about it is the pathetic battery life. Thats it. Other then that. Its worth the 500 dollar price tag for me.

i would say its worth it. I paid full retail for also and its not even my primary device ;)

Yea, I may wait until the stores have it. I'm just reading all the threads about how awesome it is. I'm more anxious to get it than anything.

When is your contract up? Verizon will sometimes honor early upgrades. Maybe add a second line for a mere $10 a month? You could look into your plan and reduce something by $10 so it washes out... IF you couldnt do either I would say order it from Verizon online for $529. My friend just did and he got his in about 3-4 days.

Go to that best buy with the print out of that price. and they will match it.

The question is do you have $500 dollars to spend on a phone. Not is it worth it or not. If you have $500 to spend then what are you waiting for. If you are debating it because it's a lot of money and you may have to sacrifice in other areas then i think that answers your question. i don't think a majority of the products that we buy on a day to day basis is "worth" what we pay for them but the tings i buy, I want and I can afford. IMO, if you can fork out $500 for whatever and it not affect your monthly budget at all then get it. If you are going to have to sacrifice things and re-budget just to get the phone it would be better to just save the money you have now and start putting some with each paycheck until you have enough that it won't affect your daily or monthly budget. Just my 2 cents.

Paying full retail for a device, especially at this cost is pretty insane. The only reason I would pay that much for a phone would be if I wanted the latest and greatest without a contract. That in itself is worth the costs at times.

So is it worth it, only you can answer that, to me it's not and in my case it's a stupid thing to do, but in your case it may be the right thing. I think the phone speaks for itself. It's a very good phone. Battery issues seem to be the only main thing people are griping about. Extended batteries solve that problem.

order it on the vzw site and use promo code DEALPRO to get a extra 20% off plus free 2 day shipping which is really 2 days not 2 weeks

which is basically what i did, i didnt want to commit to 2 lines for 2 years or even 1 year really, i might want to dump the line after 2 months and go back to the BB or get rid of it and use the Inc only.

There are too many variables for us to make a recommendation that isn't skewed. I did the same thing that I did on the Storm release date. I added a phone to my line to get the discounted price and attached the new number to my Onstar account. The Onstar service had recently been disconnected and the phone cancelled...so adding the phone didn't change my monthly bill.

About the time the Incredible was announced was when my Droid envy started to really get me. I had started looking at eBAy for used Droids. The prices were much more affordable than the full price Incredible...and I think a much better value without significant loss. There will always be something better coming out. By getting a used Droid now, you would have one hell of a phone and still have the opportunity to get the next big thing if it coincides with your NE2.

As an aside, I now I have a full discount NE2 every year...
