Would the UK version work in the US

Does anyone know if this is possible. I assume as long as the bands are supported that technically it would work. I don't know if I can wait for the US release.

You won't get lte or possibly 3g/4g in some areas... Though 2g gsm should work if you are on a gsm carrier like T-Mobile

I had no issues with mine (voice, data, SMS) when I was visiting family in Southern Ontario. I used a 7-11 SIM in the second sim slot. That's on Rogers.
On one occasion (1000 islands area) my UK SIM picked up a US carrier.

It'll work. But you'll be limited with the bands. Not sure if that's means 3g speeds or not.
