Would you be OK if google removed certain features in order to get more quality apps and games

I would just start using an iPhone if Google did that and could actually enforce it. If I wanted a locked down phone I would use one that has the better ecosystem and more refined OS which is Apple's. It would take Google a very long time to catch up even if they locked everything down as there is still hundreds of different phone configurations developers would have to account for.

Android play store is great. I'm not so much into games, not that I don't play them, but the selection is superb in my opinion.
