would you buy a 5 inch Nexus 5?

I'm right with you there. I currently carry an HTC Thuunderbolt with an extended battery and a Seidio case, and the thing is a brick and weighs quite a lot.

But my battery is all-day strong, even stands up to multi-hour Ingress sessions. I'd rather carry a heavy phone than a lightweight hunk of plastic and metal that serves no purpose until I find the next charging station.

Agreed. I have a 3500 on my Gnex and waiting for a backup 3800 this week. I like the heft, don't like the skinny sliver thin-like form factor. Give me something to grab onto.
