I disagree with everything you said here, but that is me. If there are enough people that feel that way, there will be a smaller Note. I don't see it happening though. It just isn't what the Note was intended to be. Maybe I'll be proven wrong though.

I've never really been a fan of Samsung devices (they are great of course, just not the manufacturer for me); but maybe I'd consider or at least look at a smaller Note. Phones are getting too big these days!

it was the size of the the Note 2 and s-pen that did it for me. Now with the 8, which is longer etc I still find it head and shoulders above all else. No, don't make it smaller!

Nope. I buy Notes for the Spen, the size and all of the software goodies. I had the S7Edge for a year after the Note 7 and couldn't wait for the Note 8.

I would - if the bootloader were unlocked and if it had a removable battery. Since Samsung did away with removable batteries, I did away with Samsung.
